This role is responsible for driving new business growth by selling large market institutional services (>$10 million in investable assets), to Defined Benefit (DB) plans, endowments, foundations, OPEB trusts, Cash Balance Plans, Operating Funds, etc. The ideal candidate will have experience in institutional investment consulting, strong industry relationships, and expertise in consultative interactions with plan sponsors, fiduciaries, institutional client staff, and investment managers. Essential Functions and Primary Duties * Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets through a proactive strategy to acquire new institutional consulting clients. * Proactively identify and engage prospective clients through networking, referrals, and direct outreach to Treasurers, HR professionals, CFOs, and Treasury/Finance Department Staff. * Consult with organizations to assess their investment portfolio and policy needs; and, work with CBIZ institutional investment consultants to prepare and present tailored service proposals that align with their fiduciary obligations and investment objectives, including the coordination and assistance with request for proposal (RFP responses). * Coordinate negotiations/contracting to close new business opportunities while adhering to compliance requirements and fiduciary standards. * Maintain an active pipeline and track sales performance metrics using CRM tools to drive consistent new business growth. * Assisting the marketing team in content review and creation of necessary literature. * Collaborate with internal teams, including institutional investment consultants, compliance specialists, and performance measurement, to support sales efforts and deliver a seamless client onboarding experience. * Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive services/products to provide clients with up-to-date guidance. * Actively participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and CBIZ marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and attract new clients. * Maintain all required industry licensing, including FINRA Series 65 licensing, and adhere to all applicable fiduciary and compliance responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications * FINRA Series 65 license required (or the Series 7 and 66 or ability to obtain the 65 before start date). * 5+ years of experience in institutional investment consulting, financial services, or a related field. * Strong knowledge of the full scope of institutional consulting services (e.g. investment policies, asset allocation, investment manager due diligence, and performance evaluation). * Existing network of contacts within the business and institutional markets preferred. * Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales goals. * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred. * Chartered Financial Analyst and/or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst is beneficial. Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Some relevant industry experience * Must obtain required licenses/credentials * Superior command of verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills * Proficient use of applicable technology * Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally * Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
