ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material and to fulfill orders as required by forecast, sales, and production schedules.

Drive cost savings initiatives through value engineering, competitive bidding, and strategic negotiations.
Create presentations to communicate findings and vendor recommendations to stakeholders, to help with decision making.
Serve as an escalation channel for internal stakeholders, to improve vendor service levels. Maximize Ross' position of leverage in any negotiation scenario.
Support the Facilities Engineering team with sourcing requirements for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) repair, refurbishment and replacement.
Qualifications
BA/BS in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Business, Economics, Finance or Engineering (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years category management / strategic sourcing experience in Industrial Construction and Facilities Engineering. Multiple Construction and Engineering sourcing category experience preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of program or project management experience in a cross functional environment (technical and non-technical teams).

About the Role

Budget and manages $3.4B inventory in Rx, Med Surgical, Biooncology, Plasma-Derived and Recombinant biotherapy inventory levels across 2 Distribution Centers, 1 Pharmacy, 4 Emergency Distribution Response Program sites and 550+ consignment locations in support of the Cardinal Health Specialty Pharmaceutical Segment of $43+ billion revenue.
Strategic leadership & Alignment: Develop and execute demand planning and inventory management strategy to support Cardinal Pharmaceutical Specialty service, growth and profitability goals. Lead cross functional alignment on demand forecasts, supply plans and inventory targets to achieve close to 100% in stock to best service customers while reducing excess inventory.
Demand forecasting & Planning: Oversee demand forecasting process across SPD and Metro portfolios; Improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness to market changes; Collaborate with key customers and sales teams to incorporate customer insights, and market intelligence in demand plans.

The Specialty Solutions Inventory Leader plays a strategic leadership role in partnering with sales team and customers to forecast customers demand, and with sourcing and suppliers to maximize product availability to best service customers while optimizing working capital. This role leads the development and execution of demand forecast, inventory strategy, inventory financial planning, inventory purchasing and MSO key account support to achieve world-class customer service for Specialty business while maintaining financial discipline and regulatory compliance.
This role maintains close communication with the sales team, key customers, sourcing team, suppliers, warehouses and other internal and external partners to ensure reliable product flow, accurate demand forecasts and seamless customer fulfillment. It also ensures accurate data entry and the integrity of databases related to products, suppliers, and pricing. Additionally, the Leader occasionally supervises the registration of new products to ensure regulatory compliance. A key aspect of this role includes leading a team of professionals by setting performance goals, monitoring progress, developing skills, and fostering their success.
This role reports to the Vice President, Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing.
Role location is at HQ in Dublin, OH.
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Budget and manages $3.4B inventory in Rx, Med Surgical, Biooncology, Plasma-Derived and Recombinant biotherapy inventory levels across 2 Distribution Centers, 1 Pharmacy, 4 Emergency Distribution Response Program sites and 550+ consignment locations in support of the Cardinal Health Specialty Pharmaceutical Segment of $43+ billion revenue.
+ **Strategic leadership & Alignment:** Develop and execute demand planning and inventory management strategy to support Cardinal Pharmaceutical Specialty service, growth and profitability goals. Lead cross functional alignment on demand forecasts, supply plans and inventory targets to achieve close to 100% in stock to best service customers while reducing excess inventory.
+ **Demand forecasting & Planning:** Oversee demand forecasting process across SPD and Metro portfolios; Improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness to market changes; Collaborate with key customers and sales teams to incorporate customer insights, and market intelligence in demand plans.
+ **Inventory Optimization:** Drive end-to-end inventory health and accountable for in stock service level and DIOH. Plan Specialty inventory financial plan monthly.
+ **Supplier & MSO Management:** Partner with key suppliers to ensure reliable replenishment. Engage directly with MSO team and key customers to anticipate demand and secure inventory to best service customers.
+ **Leadership & Culture:** Lead, mentor and develop a team of 9 Supply Chain Professionals (1 manager, 3 Consultants, 6 Sr. Analysts) supporting Specialty Distribution (including Metro Medical). Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence centered on patient outcomes and service reliability.
+ Close collaboration with DCs, Sales, Customer Service, PD Purchasing and Planning with the focus on increasing service and improving customer experience.
+ Works closely with all parts of the Specialty business to ensure they service a very critical patient base (typically requires next day treatment).
+ Attend Customer calls to help explain product supply disruptions and shortages.
+ Attend Sourcing hosted Supplier calls to help sell our Cardinal Health capabilities.
+ This team conducts Customer onboarding, emergency new item set ups, item maintenance, prices changes, item eligibility, reviews daily order shortages, emergency order placement or transfers of product, proactive item at risk review, maintains item/Customer allocations, and supply disruption work to ensure we have enough stock of these critical products.
+ Responsible to ensure we optimize inventory levels and reduce inventory reserve by reviewing short-dated product, overstock, and slow-moving items.
+ Collaborates with the Operations team around receiving discrepancies, ASN issues, cycle counts, short dates, and location restrictions.
+ Work with BridgePark, IM Technology, and Metro Medical Ops/Inventory teams for Metro SAP implementations from a business perspective .Assists in standardizing processes across Metro and SPD as we complete Metro SAP project.
**_Qualifications_**
+ 10+ years of experience in Demand and Supply Chain planning, Inventory Management or End-to-End Supply Chain, preferred
+ 5+ years of experience leading a team, preferred
+ Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
+ Experience in pharmaceutical products, preferred

Global Supply Chain Manager - Healthcare
The Global Supply Chain Manager will lead and manage activities of supply chain professionals for the Healthcare business. They provide leadership to define, implement, and optimize the supply chain strategies and objectives in support of business strategies and objectives. They are responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the global supply chain resources and activities with respect to service, cost, and investment, and for developing and executing appropriate tactics to ensure performance targets are achieved.
This role will coordinate supply chain improvement activities in all aspects of the Source-Plan-Make-Deliver-Return space for the Healthcare supply chain activities, and drive standardization, simplification, and speed across the global supply chain. The Supply Chain Manager is expected to work collaboratively with appropriate manufacturing leadership to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and costs are appropriately considered as part of planning and executing the end-to-end supply chain strategy.
This role is ultimately accountable for providing leadership to ensure global customer needs are met, and that the supply chain resources support execution of the overall global supply chain plans and strategies. The Supply Chain Manager also works with purchasing to insure balance of inventory, supply, and cost of raw materials.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Develops, integrates, and executes the supply chain strategy and plan in support of the business and functional strategies/COTs, and meets customer needs through integrated processes, systems and use of technology while balancing inventory, service levels and overall costs to serve.
Establishes the supply chain performance targets and evaluates actual performance in support of business and functional strategies.
Balances the risks associated with the supply chain and current plans and the options and contingencies to mitigate them.
Represents the supply chain capabilities for the short (0 - 3 months), mid (3 - 18 months) and long-term (5-year plan) horizons.
Identifies the appropriate models necessary for supply chain optimization and recommends actions to the Business team.
Manages the activities, performance, development, and capabilities of the Supply Chain Professionals needed to support the supply chain and associated activities.
Optimizes total delivered cost by balancing the impact of the manufacturing location on sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing costs. Works with sourcing and logistics organizations to provide forecasts and key cost optimization opportunities.
Performs required SOX controls and establishes remediation plans for any controls that are not effective.
Forecasts, analyzes and develops improvement plans for Fixed and Variable Finished Product Distribution Expense (FPDE) and Financial Inventory Days Supply (IDS) and Non-Productive Inventory (NPI). Reports End to End Supply Chain metrics.
Leads integration and cross functional communication of the supply chain plans. Key interfaces include: Integrated Operations Leader, Business Leadership, Sourcing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Regional Sales & Marketing/Demand, Customer Service, etc.
Defines, prioritizes and manages Lean/Six Sigma project activities in pursuit of supply chain improvement.
Builds and ensures capability and leveragability in supply chain processes and best practices and their execution across all businesses and functions globally.
Manages raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods distribution and inventory plans.
With the Demand Manager and Customer Service, defines and communicates order acceptance and handling policies that balance customer requirements with supply chain capabilities.
Works as an integral leader in the IBP process. Leads the appropriate portions of the monthly Supply Review.
Develops and maintains policies and procedures for safety stock, lead time, MTO / ATO / MTS strategies, consignment stock, schedule changes and appropriate approvals.
Meets customer delivery requirements within policies / procedures and compliance with regulatory and export control.
Owns the integrity of data in applicable systems.
Qualifications:
BS/BA Supply Chain, business, or technical field is required.
15+ years of supply chain experience required
Previous Leadership experience required
Strong leadership and collaboration skills required.
Global supply chain experience (leadership role or significant interface as part of teams, leading teams, working cross-cultures) preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Six Sigma Black Belt, and/or Champion preferred.
APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification required.
Lean Practitioner preferred (minimum requirement is Lean overview course).
SAP/APO/OMP competency required (can obtain on the job- 3 day overview minimum) needed.
