WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
As a Community Disaster Program Manager, you will ensure effective collaboration with Volunteer Services; identify, mobilize, and engage partners in all communities in assigned geographic area; and determine current readiness resources, facilities, supplies, local vendors, and strategies for addressing gaps. You will work with volunteers to ensure that the communities you serve are ready to respond to disasters.
Join us in meeting the needs of continuous disaster response! Regional disaster employees are required to deploy to disaster relief operations outside of their region at a minimum of once a year. Deployments contribute to skill building, career development and exposure to different types of disasters. Allowances may be provided for personal circumstances and local response activity. Employees must meet all training and physical capacity requirements for deployment.
This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. This role serves and supports the island of Kauai and reports to our office in Lihue.
The salary range for this position is (HI): $59,000 - $62,960

Empower Volunteers: Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for the implementation of volunteer-led disaster cycle services programming throughout the assigned geographic area, or functional activities throughout the region. Functional activities include mass care, response, community preparedness, recovery, planning, and readiness.
Lead the Program: Implement either disaster cycle services activities within assigned geographic area or specific functional activities within the region
Mission Capacity Building: Develop and support disaster volunteers who are the primary workforce, and representative of the communities they serve, both culturally and linguistically Cultivate and develop Disaster Leadership Volunteers, including volunteer partners, to meet specific responsibilities as part of their work in disaster readiness, preparedness, response, and recovery.
Engage Community: Lead and coordinate efforts in assigned geographic area to prepare and mobilize communities and engage partners with specific functional expertise and assets to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.
Manage in a Matrix: Build relationships and collaborate in the matrix management environment with internal partners, including employees and volunteers.
Know Your Communities: Act as the Red Cross disaster subject matter expert within the assigned geographic area, to maximize Red Cross presence and community engagement and mobilization. Prospect and partner with organizations and leaders supporting frontline communities and community resiliency before, during and after disasters.
Ready to Respond: Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations in the assigned geographic area, or functional activities in the region in alignment with the Disaster Cycle Services Concept of Operations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Education: Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams to execute a social services program or service.
A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to interpret program trends, results, formulate recommendations, and develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements.
Proven record of accomplishment of collaboration with diverse groups and individual's representative of all the demographics of this community, managing multiple priorities, facilitation, problem solving, marketing, leadership, and partnership management.
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
Chapter-based positions: Geographic Community Disaster employees are expected to work daily in their assigned geographic area to engage and mobilize communities and support volunteers.
Regional positions: Regional leadership and functional employees are expected to work daily within their region's geographic area to provide leadership and functional support, engage and mobilize communities, and support volunteers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Strategic Leadership:
In partnership with senior staff and lay leaders, implement the overall strategy and direction for travel experiences that bring donors closer to Federation's work, our organization, and one another.
Create and monitor an annual work plan to guide departmental activities.
Stay up to date on recent trends, best practices and innovative ideas within mission content and locations, including from other Federations and Jewish organizations.
Mission Management:
Create unique overseas mission itineraries to Israel, and around the world to Jewish sites of significance, importance, and interest, each tailored with the group in mind: VIPs, major donors, leadership groups, young professionals, etc.
Complete post-mission evaluation, both from operations standpoint and participant feedback.
Ensure seamless execution of missions by coordinating with travel vendors, such as airlines, tour operators, speakers, and destination management companies.
Provide guidance and support to Lead Staff in preparation of mission proposals from initial concept to final approval.
Develop and manage mission budgets, accountable for adherence to the approved budget.
Manage calls from potential participants, answering general and specific informational questions regarding missions.
Review mission participant applications and monitor special requests. Work in consultation with mission lead staff, lay leadership, and tour operators, ensure itinerary and participant experience for each mission is consistent with goals and objectives.
Create, implement, and monitor a follow-up plan with mission participants upon return from a mission, in coordination with Campaign, Leadership Development, and other Federation departments. Ensure accurate tracking in CRM that eases planning, solicitations, and follow-up.
With mission lead staff and overseas land agent, review and maintain the accuracy of all lists: participant, rooming, bus, land only, special requests, seating requests, dietary requests, celebrations, etc.
Develop strong working relationships with mission lead staff, from various Federation departments, and with varying mission-facilitation/implementation experience.
Travel with delegations to provide on-site logistical support as necessary and appropriate.
This position requires scheduling flexibility, with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities, as well as consideration of time differences for overseas calls.
Vendor and Relationship Management:
Manage relationships with all travel vendors and service providers.
Maintain accurate records in CRM of all vendors, speakers, and mission contacts.
Communication and Materials Preparation:
Prepare and manage necessary materials for missions, including pre, post, and during mission documentation.
Serve as a contact for professional and volunteer leadership seeking to travel, acting as a point-to-point concierge for our donors.

Local Site Visits:

Purpose
The Senior Program Officer, Program Implementation, Post Release Services supports the Deputy Director, Program Implementation, HSPRS to administer the implementation of Post Release Services. Responsibilities
Program Implementation:

Qualifications
Education & Certifications:

The Program Officer, Public Art, is a full-time, exempt role responsible for managing assigned public art projects, under the supervision of the Vice President, Public Art, to meet the goals of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Art Program. Working Conditions
The ASC team works in a hybrid environment, with 4 days per week at the Foundation for the Carolinas office (220 N Tryon).
This role will include frequent site visits to construction sites, artist studios, fabrication studios, etc. Must have access to reliable transportation. A mileage budget will be provided by ASC.
This position requires attendance at events outside regular office hours, and the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

What will you be doing in your role?
Operate as a Refugee Support Services program expert, including current knowledge of ORR-eligible populations and programs, the Code of Federal Regulations guidance, contracts, compliance and reporting requirements, funding structures, and evidence-based best practices.
Function as the source of RSS expertise with a working knowledge of Cash and Medical Assistance (CMA) Programs, facilitating meetings for partner communication, contributing expertise for guidance, and providing technical assistance and training.
Maintain knowledge in all regulatory and reporting requirements of ORR to assist partners in a timely and thorough manner.
Anticipate and identify trends in service delivery to provide relevant training, inform potential research, and promote ongoing monitoring efforts.
Maintain high-level understanding of public benefits as it relates to RSS programming and empower partners with evidence-based information.
Coordinate streamline processes, timelines, and information requests that involve partners.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of resources, programs and benefits available to refugees at the local, state, and federal level.
Make strategic recommendations for supportive training to address compliance issues, implement/improve service delivery methodologies, and ensure best practices, based on ongoing communication with partners and technical assistance requests.
Participate in all training provided by TXOR to prepare for follow-up questions and monitoring/implementation.
Compile, organize, and track ongoing issues for escalation to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to provide timely and appropriate responses to partners.
Participate in monitoring visits, both virtually and in person, to support case file review efforts.
Help develop and implement client and staff interviews and targeted observations to support monitoring efforts.
Identify potential compliance issues through office hours, ongoing communications, and monitoring visits to develop corrective action plans in coordination with other TXOR teams.
Are you the next RSS Program Officer?
Bachelor's degree preferred in related field or equivalent experience.
Ability to travel to quarterly strategic meetings across the state, quarterly consultations, partner visits, and monitoring trips (at minimum)
Experience working in refugee programs such as Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) or Refugee Social/Support Services (RSS) preferred.
Strong, effective communication skills (written and oral).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
Here's the Good Stuff...
Full-time hourly position with a starting rate of $26. This position is remote but only open to Texas Residents. Pay is determined by relevant experience, work history, education and internal equities.
