• Experience in polymer, plasticized polymer and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) co-injection and melt extrusion and their mold/tool design and development for scale up to commercial production
• Experience in system integration of design, materials, process, equipment and assembly for medical device and experience in device functionality testing of components and assembly
• Experience in partnering with third party manufacturing for production to develop the mold/tool and their design trials for part functionality and manufacturability applications.
Qualifications
BS with preferred 5-10 years of experience; Or MS with preferred 3-10 years of experience; Or Ph.D. with preferred 2-8 years of experience in Molding/Extrusion Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.

Position Summary
Must be US National (or 10+ years capital project experience in the US).
This will be an International position for the first year, then in Baton Rouge, LA, for a permanent full-time position. Expat package (with family) while overseas, permanent relocation provided to Baton Rouge.
Perform assignments, which require application of engineering education, training or experience and special knowledge or judgment of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences under the close supervision of a Professional Engineer. The assignments are designed to further develop the incumbent's job knowledge and abilities. Apply Engineering principles in discipline of competency, as assigned by supervisor with significant direction. Demonstrates a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities. Performs fundamental engineering support tasks such as updating instrument index, creating instrument specifications, making calculations, etc.

Core Competencies

Advanced experience with Industry Standard Engineering Simulation Software (Aspen, HySys, Pro II, and the like).
Responsible for tracking and reporting budget and schedule for multiple projects.
Review engineering and vendor drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ability to work with data to generate periodic reports as may be needed.
Mentors less experienced Engineers.
Meets company quality assurance requirements for personal work assignments.
Qualifications
Louisiana PE strongly preferred. Can be waived for the right candidate, especially if the individual has steel experience.
10+ Years' experience in ProcessEngineering - Preferred.
Steel Industry experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or science from an ABET accredited institution is Required.
A Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
This is the first level position(s) of administrative and supervisory personnel. Includes responsibility for technical direction over a group of engineers or who functions as a technical specialist, formulating and developing advanced engineering concepts.
