The Industrial HazMat Driver provides efficient response times and a high level of service to the Company's customers.
Responsibilities
Transports hazardous waste, hazardous materials, industrial fluids, and non-hazardous wastes in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
Operates a variety of vehicles including, but not limited to vans, straight trucks, tankers, vacuum tankers and roll offs.
Performs safety inspections and maintains a DOT driver's log and records, as required by DOT.
Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections of all equipment operated as required or instructed.
Maintains satisfactory customer service by maintaining radio and/or telephone communication with dispatch, supervisor, or manager to receive instructions on pickups and deliveries.
Completes work tickets and maintains daily inventory of tools, fittings and other equipment associated with the transport vehicle.
Reports all safety issues, incidents and concerns to Company management and notifies of current and/or anticipated repair needs.
Responsible for making sure all jobs are operated in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Use Personal Protective Equipment when needed or required.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Job Description
DCS Asset Maintenance (DCSAM) is looking for reliable CDL Drivers to help keep Virginia roads clear and safe during winter weather. This position is on an on-call basis and will only be needed during periods of inclement winter weather
What You'll Do:
Operate snowplow trucks safely and responsibly during winter storms.
Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety rules.
Do pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues right away.
Communicate with your Route Manager or Dispatch about any unsafe situations or service needs.
Take part in required safety meetings and training sessions.
Help other drivers or routes when needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Must be 18 or older.
Have a valid Class A or B CDL.
Pass a DOT drug screen, and MVR review.
Have a clean driving record - no serious violations or multiple accidents within the past 5 years.
Be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event (hotel, travel time, and per diem paid by DCS).
Prior snowplow experience is helpful but not required.
Must attend an 8-hour in-person snow training before the season starts.
Work is needed, depending on winter weather events determined by VDOT.

is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another. Their job duties include loading their vehicles, abiding by traffic laws and ensuring safe unloading and delivery at their destination.
Major Responsibilities:
Deliver goods to customers in a timely fashion. So long as the scheduling allows for on-time deliveries, drivers are expected to meet their appointment times.
Load and unload cargo
Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
Record cargo deliveries through use of daily worksheets and electronic tablet.
Refuel and clean vehicle

Plan routes using GPS system using the shortest practical routes. If a direct route is unsafe due to mountains, narrow highways, or other reasons, please advise your dispatcher and obtain approval for alternate routing
Maintain a positive attitude with customers. All customers, employees and members of the public are to be treated with respect and courtesy
Keep commercial driver license up to date
