Essential Duties

Route Planning: Plan and follow designated delivery routes, considering traffic conditions, road closures, and the most efficient paths to minimize travel time.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly to the maintenance department.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, bills of lading, and other documentation required for the delivery and receipt of scrap metal materials.
Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and clients during pickups and deliveries.
Environmental Responsibility: Handle scrap metal materials in an environmentally responsible manner, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatch and operations teams to ensure the efficient execution of deliveries and pickups.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid CDL (Class A) with a clean driving record.
2-5 years of commercial driving experience.
Experience pulling doubles a plus but not required.
Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Ability to strap own load
