POSITION SUMMARY
Our Driver will ensure the safe transportation of our residents to and from various destinations, such as appointments or activity group outings, assisting them with safe onboarding and offboarding as necessary. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide safe, reliable, courteous, and efficient transportation service for the residents to and from various human service locations, work sites, educational institutions, medical facilities, grocery stores, drug stores, and others.
Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, utilizing the wheelchair lift/stairs as needed; open and close doors; and load/unload walkers and wheelchairs as needed.
Ensure resident safety and satisfaction are priorities, and account for the presence of all residents when leaving or returning to the community.
Prepare the van/bus for operation and coordinate necessary vehicle maintenance.
May be responsible for ensuring all vehicle license plates, inspection tags, and insurance cards are current and displayed properly per local and state policy.
Follow and understand the rules of the road and transportation safety procedures.
Maintain current driving license per state regulations to perform transportation services.
Assist in the resident programs as needed, including resident activities and special events.
Build positive relationships with residents, engaging in friendly conversation and providing support as needed during trips.

Education and licenses:

With minimal direct supervision, will operate a dump truck, with a capacity of at least 26,001 GVW on public streets and highways as well as construction sites to transport and deliver construction material or equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
