Truck Drivers will be responsible to operate powered industrial truck with lifting devices to push, pull, stack, tier, or more products, equipment, or materials. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Keep all DOT daily logs and fuel records accurate and current Make sure all deliveries are on time and receipts are signed Inspect tractor and trailer & keep swept out Sweep/maintain clean dock & warehouse area Responsible for inspecting loads for quality as its being unloaded Assist with loading and unloads trucks Hand Tickets Provide updates to Shipping/Customer Service on deliveries Stretch wraps products Ensure all loads are strapped and properly secured Operates fork trucks to levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. Hand-eye coordination to coordinate hands, legs and eyes to maintain a fast reaction time Visual and hearing acuity, in accordance with federal regulations which mandates drivers are required to hear a forced whisper at 5 feet, have at least 20/40 vision, a 70-degree field of vision and the ability to distinguish the color of traffic lights. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee must be able to lift up to 70 pounds. This job requires some stooping, twisting and turning, repetitive wrist and hand motions including gripping.
