Essential Functions:
Responsibilities:
To assist the truck driver with the daily transportation of used goods, new goods, contract
supplies and waste.
1. To collect contributed goods from private homes and businesses.
2. To collect salvage material, contract supplies and waste, as directed.
3. To assist in monitoring and servicing truck before each shift for proper operation. To
inform the transportation director of necessary repairs and safety hazards.
4. To direct the truck driver while he/she is driving and parking the truck.
5. To read map and give truck driver directions. To assist the truck driver when backing or
attempting to maneuver into a tight space.
6. To move merchandise throughout stores, sales floors and warehouse.
7. To render polite, responsive and courteous service to donors and to issue receipts.
8. To organize merchandise within Goodwill's warehouse and/or retail locations.
9. To maintain a clean and hazard free truck.
10. To follow company policies and safety procedures.
11. To attend regularly, as scheduled.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
2. Must be able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
3. Must have extensive knowledge of the service area and road systems.
4. Must be able to read and follow a street map.
5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and
weekends.
6. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 #?s frequently and 100 #?s occasionally.
7. Must be able to engage in prolonged sitting in a moving vehicle.
8. Must be able to engage in prolonged standing, walking and in frequent bending, stooping,
and stretching.
9. Must have vision corrected to within normal limits.
10. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English. .
11. Must be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high
stress.
Requirements:
1. High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
2. Transportation experience or training a plus.
Working Conditions:
Extreme physical exertion, exposure to inclement weather; exposure to truck fumes and noise;
Exposure to unfit donated materials.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is a critical support role for the Transportation Team. As a CDL A or B Driver, duties include transporting goods on assigned routes in a commercial vehicle, making deliveries and pickups to and from school sites and warehouses, and communicating with the management team and dispatchers.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely operate a commercial vehicle
Load and unload cargo
Read locations and road maps
Perform basic truck maintenance
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues before and after each trip
Meet delivery schedules while maintaining safe work practices
Properly track and document driving logs on an ELD
Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
Perform other duties as requested

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
Valid Commercial Driver's License A or B
Ability to handle physical workload; physically qualified to perform all duties of a driver
Ability to work in all types of weather and environments
Strong work ethic
Valid CDL, DOT Medical Certificate, and Motor Vehicle Record
Touch freight experience preferred
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must pass a DOJ and criminal background check
Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to:
Converse with the public
Understand traffic signs and signals

Make legible entries on reports and records
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
CDL A or B (Required)

About this Role
R.R. Cassidy is seeking a reliable and skilled Job Site Driver (CDL) to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting job site operations by transporting equipment, materials, and crew as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, driving commercial vehicles, and assisting with general labor tasks to keep the job site running smoothly.
Candidates will be required to do groundwork to help crews out as needed.
Candidates must be willing to travel throughout the Southeast United States 80%-100% of the time.
Applicants must also be willing to drive to our Prairieville location for 1 week of training and before the start of each hitch.
Hotels and travel expenses are paid for by the Company while on a job. Meals are covered by $50/day per diem. Transportation methods are provided by the company leaving from the Prairieville, LA location.
What You'll Do
Operate and drive commercial vehicles such as water trucks, dump trucks, and equipment haulers.
Transport heavy equipment and materials safely and efficiently to and from job sites.
Assist with loading and unloading equipment and supplies.
Provide general labor and operational support on-site as needed.
Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and DOT requirements.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate transportation and job site needs.
What You'll Bring
