Job Summary: Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for a Class A route driver at our Port St. Lucie location. Each driver has an experienced helper who assists in loading/stacking tires. Our teams are home nightly. Duties and Responsibilities: Daily inspections of equipment per DOT regulations Maintaining a high standard of customer service. This job requires physical labor. Practice safe lifting techniques while loading tires. Ability to work in different weather conditions. Attend Transportation Safety Meetings. Skills and Abilities: CDL Class A License required with a minimum of 6 months of experience CDL Drivers must be a minimum of 22 years of age Must maintain a clean driving record that aligns with DOT standards. Now seeking professional Class A truck drivers to deliver reefer freight Running Area: AL, MS, TN & North FL Good customer service skills a plus, as well as start/stop retail experience. Prefer no more than 2 jobs in the last year AND no more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years Must have 6 FULL months of current solo & verifiable T/T experience OR 1 full year of recent verifiable T/T experience in the last 3 years (Local experience also counts) *3 year clean MVR required. No previous safety terminations ever. Mon-Sat schedule. 34 hour resets will either be done on Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday Full benefits immediately upon hire Duties: Drivers will pick up a fully loaded trailer from the distribution center. Trailer will typically contain 10 - 15 stores worth of product, varies throughout the week. Most trailers will cover 1.5 - 2 days, drivers usually work 3 trailers a week Once arrived at store, manager must unseal the trailer, driver is not to break the seal Drivers do not unload products from the rolltainers for the store or put on shelves Driver will hand push rolltainers fully loaded with cases of refrigerated product out of the trailer onto an electric lift gate (2-3 rolltainers can fit on liftgate with driver) 3-4 rolltainers average per store At times driver will be expected to down stack rolltainers if too heavy (remove extra product by hand and load onto u-boat or other rolltainer) Driver will take electric liftgate to the ground & push carts to the store .52 - .58 CPM $20 per stop $1,300 average weekly pay Layover & detention pay Annual profit sharing bonus of $2,700 Quarterly safety bonus paid out at $.35 CPM on all miles driven per quarter 2 day orientation in AL.
