We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team, focusing on FITS and WELLS, including Filtration, Separation, and Assemblies across multiple product lines. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety while working on complex assemblies. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding processes such as GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW, and possess strong math skills to support precise measurements and alignment. You'll complete on-the-job training in lean manufacturing, safety protocols, and engineering documentation compliance, ensuring that all work meets the company's standards. Your Responsibilities Will Be: Successfully complete Peerless initial and ongoing job training programs, including work functions and lean manufacturing topics. Maintain compliance with engineering documentation and meet or exceed the company's quality thresholds. Perform burning, fitting, welding, and grinding of product assemblies. Layout, position, align, and fit components together according to engineering specifications. Communicate any substandard materials, drawings, or conditions that do not meet company quality standards to the supervisor or lead, and co-workers. Uphold the company's commitment to the highest quality standards in all tasks. Wear and utilize all required safety equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots. Follow all safety policies and OSHA guidelines, pursuing the company's vision of zero accidents. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Efficiently allocate time to track critical information, schedules, and deadlines. Adhere to daily schedules and ensure all tasks are completed on time. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience or training. Strong background in mathematics for accurate measurement and assembly. Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, diagrams, sketches, work orders, and weld symbols. Preferred Qualifications: Prior knowledge of specific welding processes and techniques, including GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW. ADA Requirements: Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. About the Position: We are seeking a Welder whose job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following for water purification and treatment systems and equipment: Job Responsibilities: * Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques * Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process * May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, or guides using measuring instruments and hand tools * Operate welding equipment, regulates current and voltage or gas and wire flow rates for proper penetration and fusion of materials * Obtain maximum weld strength, avoiding distortion and excessive weld at joints * Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness * May assist Installation Department staff in installing new, central water systems at customer sites * Maintain extraordinarily neat work areas, including shop, work sites, and vehicles, as applicable Qualifications: * 2 or more years welding experience (steel fabrication & pipe welding) * Familiar with commonly-used welding concepts, practices, and procedures * High school diploma or GED * Welding Certification preferred * Strong mechanical aptitude * Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects Working Conditions: * Majority of work performed in industrial shop setting * Occasional work performed in industrial customer facilities * Travel possible, with 3 overnight stays per month on average * Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.     Job DescriptionClassified/Welder Columbia, TN, US The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembly, install, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, related duct work components. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal operating welding equipment to join sheet metal parts; or inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up and operation of hydraulic press brake; forming various sheet metal parts such as rectangular to round transitions, rectangular transitions and rectangular duct. Set up and operation of plate rolls; material size ranges from 20 gauge to 3/8” plate. Set up and operation of sheet metal shear. Must be able to calculate best cut to minimize scrap. Must be able to MIG weld from 24 gauge to 3/8” plate; galvanized, stainless, and carbon steel material. Must understand or be willing to learn the forming process of various sheet metal parts such as pressed elbows, gorelocked elbows, collars, sleeves, tee branches, reducers, etc. Must understand or be willing to learn the operation of plate rolls, spot welders and various machines in the process of forming parts; forming material that ranges from 24 gauge to 3/8” plate. Reads assembly prints and procedures Other job duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED required. Trade or Technical School Degree preferred. 3-5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication. A minimum of four (4) years experience in welding is required. Good mechanical skills. Basic math skills and the ability to read assembly prints and procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for the majority of the work day.
