The work is fun, and free admission and discounts was a plus. It was a fun environment and seeing people have a good time and make memories was great.
I enjoyed the actual work I did while working for one of Cedar Fair's parks, but working for the company itself was not ideal. You work long, long hours in extreme weather conditions for little pay. The company had so many very specific policies and procedures that it came off as being incredibly unorganized and with the high turnover rates, it was incredibly hard to implement and follow up on all of these. Vacation time was impossible to get. Full time staff is expected to work remarkably long hours with minimal time off for low salaries. It is difficult to survive on the pay here, as a seasonal employee and as a full time staff member. If you have a family, this job is not a good choice. It often seemed the company cared more about their shareholders than the people they employed to work for them
Free admission to the park
Got to meet people from all over the world working at Cedar Point. My area manager was nice to me as well.
I was stuck with really awful people I did not like working with. My area included only 4 people to supervise.
Free entrance to park during normal hours.
Not much of anything.
Tiring hours, lack of hands on work, heat exhaustion.
