Cedar Park company history timeline

1970

Pastor George Johnson started Cedar Park Assembly in 1970, renting the facilities of Peter Kirk Elementary School in Kirkland, Washington.

1975

In 1975, the church bought five acres on Juanita-Woodinville Road and built a 13,000 square foot building including a sanctuary seating 300 with additional educational space.

1979

In 1979, Pastor Joe Fuiten replaced Pastor Johnson, and his vision has served as a guidepost for those attending the church over the last several decades.

1982

Founded in 1982, the mission of Cedar Park Christian Schools is to prepare young men and women academically, spiritually, and emotionally to lead productive lives in society in a manner that glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ.

1983

In 1983, Cedar Park Assembly of God purchased eleven acres of land near the I-405 interchange of NE 160th in Bothell, Washington.

1994

Until 1994 school year, Cedar Park Christian School consisted of a single campus of approximately 300 students.

1995

In 1995, the student population at Cedar Park Christian began to increase so significantly that it was apparent the Bothell Campus could not handle the numbers before a facility could be constructed.

1996

In 1996, the permit process to build a high school facility was initiated with the City of the Bothell with the anticipation that construction would begin within a year or two.

1997

The school has grown consistently, adding preschool and childcare, elementary, middle school, and high school grades, with the first graduating class in 1997.

1999

Meanwhile this new concept caused another reevaluation of the system in 1999 and revealed that Cedar Park Christian School could reproduce beyond the immediate Bothell campus and develop multiple campuses at other locations utilizing the same organizational principles.
