What will you be doing in this role?
The LVN supports the physician and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing patient care assessments, and a variety of medically related tasks. The LVN is a licensed nurse who works in an ambulatory care setting to provide nursing services.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs
Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination
Prepares patients for examination by reviewing current medications and reviewing documents in medical record
Prepares medical chart and records patient information needed to support the reason for visit such as vital signs and reason for visit
Provides basic patient care and treatments such as taking vitals, performing diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and specimen collection directed by the provider
Observes patient, documents, and reports any changes in condition to the provider for instructions in taking necessary actions for care
Answers patient and physician incoming messages with provider input.
Serves as a patient advocate and utilizes appropriate resources to support patient care

Valid CA LVN license required

If you aspire to become an RN II Intern in the Emergency Department, we have two (2) NIGHT shift openings available for our Internship Program. Start dates are February 16 for External candidates and February 22, 2026 for Internal candidates. Strong preference will be given to Cedars-Sinai employees. Unit Details:
Our Emergency Department (ED) has 20 patient beds and sees on average 120 people a day. There are Registered Nurses, Break RNs, Charge Nurses, Physicians, Physicians Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners on this cohesive multidisciplinary team. Our emergency medicine specialists are dedicated to providing comprehensive, leading-edge emergency care to a diverse population. ED nurses are calm in chaos, quick thinkers and fast learners. The specialty is challenging, fast-paced, exciting and rewarding.

Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible and accountable for delivering direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room (ER) setting. You will also:
Provides direct and indirect patient care services, including the administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care.
Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the hospital system

We work with the following specialty groups to provide care: Anesthesiology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Cardiothoracic surgery, Dentistry, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, General pediatric surgery/Abdominal Transplant, Hematology/Oncology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Plastic Maxillofacial surgery, Pulmonology, and Urology.
**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience**
1+ year experience as an Operating Room RN. Pediatric experience preferred. Broad knowledge of patient care principles and equipment; CHLA patient care policies and procedures. We work with the following specialty groups to provide care: Anesthesiology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Cardiothoracic surgery, Dentistry, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, General pediatric surgery/Abdominal Transplant, Hematology/Oncology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Plastic Maxillofacial surgery, Pulmonology, and Urology.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
1+ year experience as an Operating Room RN. Pediatric experience preferred. Broad knowledge of patient care principles and equipment; CHLA patient care policies and procedures.
