As an MRI Technologist III, you will perform all scans at an advanced level to include all advanced MRI protocols relative to a specific patient population. The Tech III may assist physicians in performing procedures to include device preparation, medication handling and other duties as directed by the supervising physician. As needed, you will assume responsibility and accountability for patient flow by serving as Technologist in Charge or in the capacity of Team Leader. Summary of Essential Duties: Performs MRI exams using approved procedures and protocols per standards of practice for speed, organization, precision and accuracy based upon the department's accrediting agency and/or department guidelines for exam protocols, adhering to department productivity standards. Previews all MR images and monitors for accuracy and prepares/sends images to designated viewing systems. Performs section specific imaging QC using established technical factors and image identification. May assist physicians performing procedures and ensures all supplies and/or devices are prepared and available in accordance with sterile technique and infection control policies and practices. Adheres to all sterilization protocols. Performs venipuncture. Prepares and administers MRI medications to include imaging and adjunctive medications and follows hospital guidelines in handling of medications to align with all medication safety requirements. The department serves the populations of neonates to and including geriatrics. In this twelve-laboratory facility, we perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary artery disease, heart muscle function and heart valve dysfunction. **We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus to newly hired Techs!** Summary of Essential Duties: + The Cardiovascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist (RT) assists in all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center and is a member of the Cath Lab team. + Performs the radiological procedures at a technical level. + Responsible for positioning the patient and fluoroscopic equipment as needed to obtain optimum views of all relevant anatomy during procedures. + Provides a safe patient care environment, maintains and operates the physiological monitoring/recording system for both interventional cardiac and complex electrophysiology studies, is responsible for monitoring radiation exposure levels during all exams and ensuring that technical factors appropriate for the given procedure are used. **Qualifications** Education: + Graduate of a Radiology Technology program in an AMA approved school required License/Certifications: + Current ARRT and CRT certifications required + Fluoroscopy permit required + BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required (ACLS preferred) + RT-CI specialty certification preferred Experience: + Experience performing a variety of Radiologic Interventional scans and/or procedures in a busy clinic environment preferred + Applicants with more than 3 years of experience may be considered as Cardiovascular IR Tech II + Excellent arrhythmia recognition and hemodynamic monitoring skills required + Congenital Heart experience preferred \#JOBS-Indeed Keywords: Cardiac, Cardiovascular, Heart, Interventional, Cath, Catheterization, Tech, Technician, Technologist, Healthcare, Hospital, Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, California **About Us** Cedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
