Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
NursePractitioner will independently obtain a relevant health and medical history.
Performs a physical examination based on age and history and dictates a progress note if needed with the appropriate physicians.
Performs and/or orders preventive and diagnostic procedures based on the patient's age and history.
Help the physicians provide screening, consultation and answers to incoming questions from referring physicians.
Identifies health and medical risk factors.
Educational Requirements:
Graduation from a NursePractitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing
Masters Degree in Nursing is required
NursePractitioner certification is required
License/Certification Requirements:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and NursePractitioner license issued by the State of California.

Job Responsibilities:

**Duties and responsibilities:**
+ Under the supervision of Cardiac Surgeons, the NursePractitioner provides services to cardiac surgical patients. + Summary of Essential Duties: Obtain and perform history and physical examinations, record and interpret pertinent data (i.e., labs, diagnostic studies, discharge summaries, progress notes, etc.), including writing orders and discharges

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments involving patients and their family members or caregivers.

Duties and responsibilities:
Under the supervision of Cardiac Surgeons, the NursePractitioner provides services to cardiac surgical patients. The NursePractitioner is responsible for the planning and coordination of all aspects of the work up and care of the patients in the unit including management of MCS and Heart Transplant patients.
Summary of Essential Duties: Obtain and perform history and physical examinations, record and interpret pertinent data (i.e., labs, diagnostic studies, discharge summaries, progress notes, etc.), including writing orders and discharges
Evaluate, treat and diagnose patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. Write a daily progress note on inpatients, collate inpatient records and perform discharge summaries, utilizing the electronic medical record.

The breast center offers care for individuals who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, are at high risk for breast cancer, or are breast cancer survivors. What will you be doing:

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Wound Care NursePractitioner (NP) to join our outstanding Plastic Surgery team. This role is essential to performing advanced bedside procedures (including debridement) that promote healing, minimize complications, and standardize evidence-based wound care across both hospital and outpatient settings. Responsibilities:
Lead high-quality wound care delivery as the program's Advanced Practice Provider. Ensure timely interventions, consistent clinical oversight, and expert procedural care for patients with complex acute and chronic wounds.
Collaborate with surgical faculty, APP team, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, reduce length of stay (LOS) and readmissions, and support staff education and program growth.
Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, LOS, readmissions, and care coordination-supporting a high-impact, results-focused program with significant operational and financial benefits.
Act as a clinical lead for wound care. Carry out daily rounds on inpatients and routine outpatient wound care clinics.
Instruct patients and their families in wound care procedures, prevention measures, and adjustments to daily habits. Deliver support and counseling to patients and their families related to wound management and treatment plans.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences. Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and specialists as needed.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care. Stay current with advancements in wound care practices through continuing education and professional development. Contribute to the development and revision of standardized wound care protocols and policies across the hospital. Improve staff education and standardize care across inpatient units.
Provide back-up coverage for the plastic surgery inpatient service.

Education:
Master of Nursing Degree.
Graduate of an accredited Nursepractitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a NursePractitioner specializing in wound care
Experience as a NursePractitioner in plastic surgery is highly preferred.
Licensure/Certifications Requirements:
Current CA RN License.
NursePractitioner and Furnishing License.
National Certification as a NursePractitioner.
Current DEA License (schedule 2-5)
Must possess a CWCN-APP (Certified Wound Care Nurse) or WCC (Wound Care Certified) credential.
Current ACLS Certification required
