The Quality Improvement Registered Nurse (QI RN) in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center (CVIC) is responsible for a comprehensive review of 100% of patient records for those who undergo procedures in the Cath/EP Lab. The role involves abstracting statistics and clinical data for both internal and external uses. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Data Review and Abstraction:** 2. Conduct thorough reviews of patient records in the CVIC. 3. Abstract and compile statistics and clinical data for internal databases and external registries. 4. **Internal Data Management:** 5. Common referrals include extreme Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, food selectivity/rigidity, weight loss, failure to gain weight, and behavioral difficulties related to mealtimes. The team consists of psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, registered dietitians, a developmental behavioral pediatrician and a case manager. Opportunities exist to build new collaborative relationships with medical clinics at CHLA. The psychologist will be responsible for providing the following: individual, family and group therapy using evidence-based psychological interventions; case management services; school advocacy; home/school visits as clinically indicated; and coordination of care with medical teams at CHLA related to specific clients on the psychologist's caseload. Completes psychological/developmental assessments as needed. Provides assessment as part of the interdisciplinary feeding team and conducts behavioral observations as part of this assessment in order to identify strengths and challenges related to feeding development. The Pathologists' Assistant functions under the direction of a licensed and qualified pathologist, in collaboration with other health care professionals, and performs duties approved by the California Business and Professions Code, CLIA and other regulatory agencies. **Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:** 1 year of experience as Pathologists' Assistant, preferred. **Education/Licensure/Certifications:** Master's degree, Accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program required.
