Department: Receiving Hope Center (RHC)
Reports to: Behavioral Health Supervisor
Hours: FULL-TIME, 40 hours per week; Tuesday through Saturday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Location: Receiving Hope Center; Dallas, GA
Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Technician/ Specialist practices healthy boundaries to assist participants with activities of daily living and self-care at the Receiving Hope Center (RHC). This role collaborates with and supports RHC team members across multidisciplinary focus areas, working directly with participants to help implement the treatment plan as prescribed. In order to improve participant skills, the technician provides a supportive environment by modeling and encouraging positive behaviors and discouraging or de-escalating negative behaviors.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Participant Supervision
Provide direct supervision to participants, with guidance from behavioral health specialists and supervision from the behavioral health supervisor and coordinator
Follow all RHC policies and procedures, as well as what is outlined in the Participant Handbook (dress code, procedures for hygiene, medicine administration, etc.)
Report and record participant progress with various interventions
As needed, document any critical incidents that occur on assigned shifts
Develop expertise in at least one of the following areas:
Bilingual
Nutrition, meal planning, meal preparation - ServSafe Certified
Fitness
Medication logs, training, and adherence to policies and procedures
Pro-social activities
Academic assistance
Facilities and compliance

Maintaining Program Structure
Lead skills building groups and activities during non-school hours

Complete 15-minute bed checks for participants during sleeping hours

Complete accurate and detailed documentation daily
Assist with security and security support as needed, including responsibilities such as monitoring security cameras and performing routine cleaning

Professional Qualifications:
Never have been shown by credible evidence (e.g., a court or jury, a department investigation, or other reliable evidence) to have abused, neglected, sexually exploited, or deprived a child or adult or to have subjected any person to serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly negligent misconduct as evidenced by an oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time of application and evidence of having made efforts to obtain and evaluate references from previous employers
Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person's capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person's suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations
Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products
Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education, or a related field

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for new clients (phone, in-person, virtual).

What you'll do
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will assist Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in implementing behavior support plans specifically designed for individual toddlers, children and teens. Provide direct ABA therapy to clients in a 1:1 setting

Complete clinical data collection and daily administrative work in a accurate, detailed and timely fashion
Work as a team and collaborate with team members
Participate and contribute to in-service training and staff meetings

Complete authorized therapy hours per client
Complete all other job-related duties as directed
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
