Salary Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. * Perform diagnostic discoveries, make recommendations, repair devices and help customers both in-person and over the phone

Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Guardrail Repair Technicians to perform highway maintenance operations in the Northern Virginia area. This position is based in Alexandria, VA and requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Salary:
$17-$21/hr depending on experience, licenses and certifications.
Schedule:
Full time; Monday - Friday, day shift, with some night and weekend work if needed. Must be able to work during snow and ice events. 7:30am-4pm. Occasional overtime available.
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of related experience
Roadway or guardrail maintenance experience
Concrete forming/repair experience
Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, ForkLift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
Preferred Experience:
Roadway maintenance experience
MOT Certifications (traffic control)
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
CDL License a plus
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED

Diagnose, repair, inspect and maintain motorized and mechanical equipment related to construction, highway maintenance, grounds, and automotive equipment of all types and in varied locations. How you will contribute:
Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose vehicle, equipment or asset failures using electronic testing equipment, service and equipment repair manuals and on-line resources. Recommend outsourcing for major repairs when needed.
Emergency Operations: Prepare equipment for emergency operations. Make equipment repairs to reduce downtime during emergency operations to include on-the-road repairs.
Information Processing and Paperwork: Prepare, process, and maintain required maintenance and repair documentation. Generate, complete and close-out work orders in computer system. Perform time and leave entry. Prepare parts requests. Complete paperwork for warranty inspections and repairs.
Perform Repair Work: Perform repairs and overhauls to all types of automobiles, equipment and tools to include engines, transmissions, driveline components, electrical and computer systems, fuel injection systems, air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic components and air brakes.
