Job Description
As a crew foreman for our Ohio market, you will be responsible for site management duties that include tower and ground operations, sweep testing, tower maintenance and installation, coaxial and antenna installation and required RF testing, and related responsibilities in accordance with OSHA safety guidelines. Every day, you will interact with customers and subcontractors, complete necessary paperwork, and communicate with the construction manager about work progress and known issues. You will also review and approve your crew's work, providing training, guidance, and work leadership necessary to maximize safety and productivity, minimize costs, and maintain quality.
What We Need from You
To thrive in this role, you must be able to climb towers and work at heights up to 500 feet, performing manual labor in outdoor environments. You must possess basic computer skills and be able to complete/submit paperwork by required deadlines. Experience in the telecommunications industry, coupled with the following skills, is also desired:
Ability to travel extensively with frequent overtime and some evening and weekend work
Ability to train technicians on all positions and provide developmental training opportunities for technicians wishing to advance in the company
Ability to successfully manage jobs within the required timeframe and approved budget
Ability to effectively resolve issues in a dynamic environment
Ability to complete daily paperwork and submit prior to firm deadlines
Ability to track and report primary and ancillary material use, manage and order inventory, and document maintenance of all equipment
Ability to schedule and complete inspections with demonstrated ability to maintain quality control standards
Demonstrated understanding of AC and DC electrical requirements and experience with NEC
A valid driver's license and ability to qualify as an approved company driver
Prior experience with LTE upgrades and other relevant technology
Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety and quality guidelines, relevant tools and equipment, and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the telecommunications construction field
Demonstrated understanding of crane signals and ability to demonstrate whoops
Ability to perform rescues
Demonstrated understanding of safe/proper complex rigging procedures, working load limits, weatherproofing, tower precon, and advanced cathead knowledge
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and RFDS
Knowledge of rigging and mounting procedures for all antennas and equipment
Knowledge of different carriers, color codes, and routing guidelines
Ability to direct tower top troubleshooting
Ability to configure RETs
Ability to complete JSAs, conduct tailgate meetings, and run a tiger team
Ability to use a compass and understand declination
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to drive a truck and trailer and back it up competently
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, both verbally and in writing
Ability to pass required pre-employment processes, including a background check, DOT inspection, and drug screen

OSHA 30 certification
TTT1 certification
Connector training
First Aid/CPR training/certification
PIM certification and ability to use PIM gear

Tower Technician

The Tower Technician is responsible for the onsite installation, repair and maintenance of tower in a specific geographic region, including but not limited to site safety, tower maintenance/repair, site field reports, and other duties as required to properly maintain and operate the site within the contractual requirements. They work as part of a team and under the supervision of a foreman and will be required to work in the field under various conditions.
Responsibilities
Install, erect, maintain, repair, inspect, remove, or retrofits towers and antenna systems sometimes under adverse conditions (e.g., high towers, inclement weather, remote sites, etc.) throughout the nation.
Assist in installation of fiber and transmission lines, as well as power trunk lines.
Operate construction equipment, inspect guy wire anchors, load/unload communications equipment and supplies. Install/remove communications equipment using safety equipment and hand tools.
Fabricate tower hardware and accessories to maintain, repair, and retrofit towers and antenna systems to support communication system operation using fixed and portable power tools and equipment.
Maintain all tools, vehicles and equipment normally assigned to this function. This includes loading, transporting, and unloading of tools and materials in a safe manner.
Ensure all company safety procedures are followed to include proper use of safety equipment.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Foreman or management.

ADB Wireless is seeking an entry level Tower Technician that shows the readiness to learn how to safely and efficiently climb and maneuver on a wireless structure under the direct supervision of senior Tower professionals. The Level I Technician will receive mentoring from experienced Technicians and Foreman. The ideal candidate will have a strong belief in the safety and well-being of team members, as well as a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs and other various wireless equipment on the tower
Gain knowledge from the experienced Technicians and foreman to develop your skills based on the Career Advancement Matrix (CAM)
Climbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance under close supervision.
The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
The ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb. load.
Analyzing situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action
Performs other position duties when requested by leadership

Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite
Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humidity and rain through the year
When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
1+ years of experience in the career field associated with a Wireless Technologies preferred
First Aid / CPR certification preferred
RF Awareness Training preferred
OSHA10 certification preferred
Valid driver license with a clean driving record required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
The starting pay for this position is $20.00 per hour and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
