Position Overview: The Wood Services Crew Leader is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of wooden utility poles to ensure compliance with safety standards, structural integrity, and overall quality. This role involves comprehensive assessments, documentation, and reporting of findings to maintain the reliability and safety of utility pole networks. Daily management of a crew consisting of at least one Laborer. Key Responsibilities:
Inspection Protocol: Execute detailed inspections of wooden utility poles based on established safety guidelines, industry standards, and company protocols.
Structural Assessment: Evaluate the structural integrity of wooden poles, examining for signs of decay, cracks, splits, insect infestation, or any other compromising factors.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, identifying potential hazards and recommending necessary actions for repair or replacement.
Reporting: Accurately record inspection information into data collection application including taking pictures and attaching required information while outlining inspection results, highlighting critical issues, and providing recommendations for corrective measures. Ensure crew member hours are properly documented and recorded and provide approval upon completion.
Collaboration: Liaise with relevant stakeholders to communicate inspection outcomes and support the implementation of recommended actions.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute insights for the enhancement of inspection procedures, tools, or methodologies to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Leadership: Responsible for overseeing an directing the activities of crew members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safety and to standard. This includes assigning duties, providing guidance and support, training and development, monitoring performance, promoting teamwork and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Resource and Equipment Readiness: Maintain adequate inventory levels for projects, maintain equipment and tools to ensure readiness for job.
Qualifications and Requirements:

The Bridges/Structures Forman is responsible for organizing and directing on-site crew work. This position ensures the crews are in compliance with the company's safety program and ensures that the work performed meets or exceeds the quality requirements of the client.
Location
This position works at various construction job site locations in and around Columbus, OH. Both daily and overnight travel may be required.
Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
Completes necessary 2 week look-ahead to plan work with Superintendent(s)
Understands and enforces company safety policies
Conducts daily JSA to recognize safety hazards associated with the daily tasks and educates crews of hazards
Provides oversight direction to crews and/or subcontractors
Prepares schedules for needed manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors
Ensures quality of work performed by crews
Works with senior foremen and/or superintendents to complete short interval schedules
Completes daily timesheets and field reports
Ensures crews are working at maximum efficiency during shift hours and leads by example
Inspects incoming materials for quality, accuracy, completeness, and contract compliance
Works as part of a team with management, supervision, safety, and other personnel

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fiber Jetting/Blowing Foreman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of fiber optic cabling systems. Training & Development: Mentor, educate, and train new team members on DRI-LOK's processes and procedures.
Customer Relations: Maintain good working relationships with clients and customer representatives, addressing any concerns and providing excellent service.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all team members follow company safety policies and OSHA standards. Conduct regular safety briefings and site inspections.
Project Documentation: Use construction management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Microsoft Office) to manage project schedules, costs, and other critical documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in Commercial Construction: 3+ years of experience in commercial construction, waterproofing, concrete restoration, masonry restoration, or related trades.
Leadership Skills: Prior experience as a foreman, supervisor, or team leader, with the ability to manage a team, coordinate tasks, and ensure quality work.
Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction techniques, waterproofing methods, air barriers, sealants, caulking, and concrete restoration.
Equipment Handling: Ability to operate equipment, power tools, and other construction machinery safely.
Safety Conscious: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience maintaining a safe work environment.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with construction management software (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam) to track project details and manage schedules.
Customer Focus: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and customer representatives.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, using aerial lifts, and working at heights.
Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation to job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with masonry restoration and concrete repairs.
OSHA 10-hour certification (Training will be provided if necessary).
