Summary:
The Cement Mason is responsible for preparing the job site to receive the concrete by arranging concrete forms, spreading the concrete, leveling it, smoothing it out and washing away any leftover materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Mix, compact, spread, finish and cure the concrete for buildings, roads, tunnels, bridges,
* Knowledge of how the wind, heat, and/or cold affect the set and finish ability of the concrete throughout the entire process,
* Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them,
* Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed,
* Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill,
* Have experience and ability to mix gravel, water, sand and cement for making concrete,
* Use a concrete pump for moving the mixture into position,
* Create various textures on the surface by using handheld tools for shaping and creating designs,
* Mix and apply color pigments when required,
* Direct the casting of concrete mixture and supervise over laborers using shovels or other special tools to
spread it,
* Knowledge of how to use level, transit and laser,
* Apply muriatic acid to clean surface, and rinse with water,
Must wear proper attire at all times including PPE,
May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends,

This is a stable, multi-year project on a large site where we are building critical infrastructure to provide clean water to the region. Form Carpenter Daily Life
Assemble concrete form systems at the direction of the Carpenter Foreman and/or Superintendent.
Installation of formwork ties, turnbuckles, wedgebolts, walers, and form support systems.
Build custom concrete forms including bulkheads and construction joints.
40-hour work week.
Form Carpenter Must Haves
At least three (3) years' experience as a Form Carpenter.
Knowledge of commonly used form systems.
Authorized to work in the US.
Form Carpenter Nice to Haves
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of formal training or apprenticeship.

What You'll Do
Complete repairs and reconstruction projects (carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, cabinets, tile, light plumbing & electrical)
Assist Project Managers with on-site supervision and project setup
Meet with customers on-site, review progress, and ensure satisfaction
Keep projects on schedule
What We're Looking For
Hands-on skills in multiple trades - construction or restoration background preferred
Ability to lead small crews and coordinate with subcontractors
Strong communication skills with customers, managers, and teammates
A valid driver's license and willingness to be part of our on-call rotation
(If not already certified) willingness to obtain IICRC WRT/FSRT and OSHA-10 within your first year - we'll help you get there
Working Conditions:
This position involves indoor and outdoor work in varied weather conditions. Team members may occasionally be exposed to dust, fumes, odors, or environments impacted by water, fire, mold, or other contaminants.
