Key Responsibilities:

The Director of Operations-Houston is responsible for leading production and operational support teams to produce quality products in a safe manner, on time, economically, and at desired levels of customer care. This role supports safety initiatives throughout the plant's operations and provides continuous improvement direction and support on the production floor. The individual will be instrumental in establishing the new Houston Operations facility; once operational, the Director will lead, manage, and implement operational initiatives at the Houston plant to support Industrial and Municipal Business Unit strategies and goals, including capital investment plans. As a key member of DeZURIK's operations team, the Director of Operations-Houston will report directly to the Industrial Business Unit leader and will serve as a strategic partner in running the business.
Major elements of the Director of Operations-Houston's responsibilities include to:
Influence the design of the new Houston facility, assisting with plant layout, existing site and product moves, and related readiness activities.
Provide leadership to the production and operational support teams, including Manufacturing, Planning and Materials Management, Shipping, Quality, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operational Admin personnel, to achieve plant safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity goals.
Support all Health and Safety initiatives related to the facility by providing leadership for all policies and procedures, while continually improving safety records by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety engagement.
Develop and maintain strong employee relations within all levels of the company, while also motivating, coaching, and developing a diverse, high-performing leadership team.
Lead the implementation of new manufacturing initiatives, including allocating strategic resources and applying continuous improvement principles for improved efficiencies.
Establish annual operating budgets, inventory control targets, and performance goals for department leaders, including ownership of the annual capital planning process for the facility.
Support and advance supply chain initiatives to strengthen critical vendor relationships and improve lead-time performance.

Candidate Profile
The Director of Operations-Houston will have a proven track record of success leading manufacturing and supply chain activities. The fully qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a recognized equivalency. This individual should have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in operations leadership. Experience in a custom flow control product manufacturing environment is a plus, as is experience with industrial machining and assembly operations. We are seeking a leader known for engaging the workforce, facilitating improved customer responsiveness, and enabling sustainable growth.
The successful candidate must have excellent business acumen and an operations aptitude with strong communication skills and the ability to think strategically. He or she will be an operations executive with an outstanding track record and reputation for driving improvement, business judgment, leadership skills, and integrity. Job Summary

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The efficient management of assigned plant production and operations. Position has the direct responsibility for personnel, equipment, costs, safety, quality, workmanship, and completion of assigned projects on time and within estimated budget. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Supervise all daily operations to achieve maximum production of materials, equipment and personnel with emphasis on costs, quality and safety.
Conduct periodic evaluations of assigned personnel with special emphasis on their contributions to the company and our contribution to them.
See that new personnel receive proper orientation to acquaint them with company policies, safety requirements, and job responsibilities.
Review and evaluate operational costs, schedules, job assignments, equipment performances and needs, personnel needs, on the job training, selection and performance of suppliers.
Assist and direct personnel in the proper use and maintenance of equipment, improving job performance, controlling cost, increasing productivity, improving communications, and adhering to company policies.
Maintain work performance records, inspection records and other information for future reference. Complete all required daily reports, verify their accuracy and transmit promptly to the supervisor.
Monitor and insist upon compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Plan and direct production, distribution, and assembly operations for Enclos Goodyear, Arizona facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manages all activities associated with manufacturing and materials management of the Goodyear, Arizona Enclos facility, meeting quality, schedule and budgetary objectives in accordance with project requirements.
* Establish, manage, and track annual budgets, ensuring alignment with company financial goals and operational objectives. Monitor production costs, labor, and equipment investments, providing accurate project cost estimates to stakeholders. Develop cost control measures and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining quality and staying within budget constraints.
* Oversee the procurement and management of project materials, including sealants, and other shop supplied accessories, with a strong focus on optimizing inventory management.
* Provide project cost estimates (labor and equipment). Using historical data collected during the manufacturing process, assist with the refinement of estimating values and metrics.
* Maintain and improve production tracking or quality control systems, prepare production reports analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect production problems.
* Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program.

* Foster relationships with Field Personnel and Operations through excellence in customer service.

* Lead the integration of production control systems for Goodyear in collaboration with the IT department. Continue to improve digital tracking and workflow management systems.
* Oversee the continued integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related manufacturing technologies, ensuring that the team is proficient in utilizing modern tools such as ERP systems, AutoCAD, and BIM software to streamline operations and improve accuracy in production.
* Lead ISO 9001certification of manufacturing operations for the Goodyear facility.
* Establish process to manufacture samples, prototypes and mock-ups to ensure performance of test samples and to provide feedback to engineering and project management.
* Ensure the communication of and adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a positive and high-performing workplace.

REQUIREMENTS:
* A minimum of an Associate's degree in Business, Management, Construction Sciences, Manufacturing Sciences, or related field or an equivalent of +10 years of practical work experience in a similar production or manufacturing setting, especially in the field of construction or curtainwall. A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of industry and management methodologies such as ISO 9000, lean manufacturing, TQM or Six Sigma. Certification in these disciplines and in production and inventory management (CPIM) a plus.
* Ability to operate in a project focus environment.
* Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
* Possess high ethics, good judgment and ability to take decisive action.
* 10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership position.
