I am an aspiring sports broadcaster from Pembroke, Massachusetts. As a dedicated and hard-working leader, success is something I pride myself on. Thus, going above and beyond the bare minimum is something I strive for constantly. From the moment I stepped on campus at Quinnipiac University, I understood how extra curricular activities were the key to success. Therefore, I quickly joined student media organizations and gained extensive knowledge from the start. I now have two years experience in a student-run news room. Editing and shooting video, writing for print and for broadcast, play by play and color commentary, and control room operations are all skills I have gained from my hands on experience outside of the classroom.

Dr. Schwartz is founding President and former CEO of WESTMED Medical Group (WMG) which was formed in 1996. He is also the former CEO of Optum Practice Partners (OPP) a physician management services company, which was formed in 2011 and acquired by Optum in 2014.Since its founding, the medical group has grown to over 350 physicians as a multi-specialty group practice with 10 locations in Westchester County, New York and Fairfield CT. WMG embraced the triple aim and is proud to have transitioned to value-based care with a successful ACO and strong results for quality efficiency and service. In his medical career, Dr. Schwartz has been committed to improving the health of the community by providing coordinated, efficient, quality patient care. To accomplish this goal, he and WESTMED were early adopters of healthcare IT, collaborating with many innovative IT vendors in the areas of process and system redesign to improve care. OPP has continued to focus on lean ambulatory healthcare transformation. Improvements in both operational and clinical efficiency were achieved with analytically-based work flow redesign facilitated by extensive use of automated rules and tasking engines.At WESTMED , Dr. Schwartz articulated WESTMED’s culture: to be the best place for patients to receive care, the best place for physicians to practice medicine and the best place for employees to work. Medical Specialties: Dr. Schwartz is a hematologist and oncologist with board certification in internal medicine, medical oncology, hematology and blood banking.

Rich is a lifetime middle Tennessean, a graduate of the University of Alabama, an avid outdoorsman and a father of two – Margaret and Marshall. His career has always centered around sales, primarily the payment services industry and now healthcare resupply. His interests include hunting and fishing and he is a board member of the Tennessee State Museum and is active with inner city charities.
