As a Customer Service Specialist in our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) group, you'll assist patients, clinics, referring doctors, attorneys, and insurance companies with medical billing questions. You'll answer telephone calls, respond to voice mails, and route email/mail to ensure the appropriate departmental resource follows up on billing accounts. While exceeding our Quality Assurance standards, you'll focus on the patient first, be accountable, and play an important part in creating a superior patient experience.
This is a remote full-time position working 40 hours per week. Shifts are from 9:30am-6:00pm CST.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(85%) Customer Service
* Assists clinics, referring doctors, attorneys, insurance companies and patients/responsible parties with general questions
* Responds to RCM voice mail and email in a timely manner
* Routes telephone calls and mail to appropriate departmental resource for follow up on problem accounts
* Communicates effectively with various departments within Revenue Cycle Management
* Researches explanation of benefits (EOBs) and/or denials in imaging system in order to assist patients and explain balances
* Meets or exceeds team Quality Assurance standards
* Escalates more complex inquiries to Senior Customer Service Specialist for support and resolution
(10%) Administrative duties
* Faxes itemized statements and letters of protection (LOPs) to attorneys by request ensuring proper authorization is on file
* Updates billing system with updated patient demographic information
* Calls referring doctors, patients, insurance companies, and attorneys to get updated insurance or demographic information on patient accounts
* Researches missed discounts, duplicate charges, reverse collection decisions and insurance denials
(5%) Performs other duties as assigned
Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1-2 years previous customer service experience
* Proficient with using computer systems and typing
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Create meaningful reports utilizing the registry, reporting of data from Regions Hospital into the trauma registry and report generation.
Analyze data, and evaluate the TQIP and BCQP reports.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an approved two year or four-year Health Information Management or Nursing Program and eligibility for registration through the American Health Information Management Association. 2-3 years of experience with coding and/or abstraction will substitute for the two or four-year Health Information Management Program or Nursing Program

As a Body Radiologist at Medical Scanning Consultants (MSC) here in the Tacoma / South Puget Sound Area, you'll experience our commitment to excellence, quality and thoughtful, patient-centered care. We are a fully committed subspecialty oriented radiologist group providing outpatient imaging services at a handful of RAYUS Radiology Sites in the area (formerly known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI).
As a physician led organization, our subspecialized radiologists are the cornerstone of our success. MSC has a well-established radiology practice with state of the art technology and highly skilled, credentialed team of radiologists and technologists that serve the needs of the local community and have strong relationships with our referring providers. Our group operates on a fair and equitable work model, with a division of labor between all associates; we do not believe in overburdening the newer members of our practice.
BODY RADIOLOGIST
The ideal candidate is a body imager comfortable with all modalities within subspecialty. Ability to perform simple arthrogram procedures is a plus. Hybrid and fully on site options available.
The pay range for this position is $400,000-$700,000/year based on direct and relevant experience.

Candidates must be Board Certified or eligible, ACLS trained, with fellowship training in body imaging.
The desired candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the marketing of the centers' radiology services, be involved in educational efforts for referring clinicians and participate in teaching conferences.
