The RegisteredNurse - Vascular is responsible for assisting radiologists who have been extensively trained in the field of minimally invasive, interventional techniques, to provide state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment for vascular-related conditions. You will help guide patients through their treatment plan in a comfortable, outpatient setting. We specialize in non-surgical solutions that offer less risk, less pain and less recovery time than traditional open surgeries.
This is a part-time position typically working 20-29 hours per week every Tuesday 9:00am-4:00pm, Wednesday 6:45am-4:00pm, and Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm; occasional Mondays and Fridays as needed. No weekends or call.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(80%) Patient Care
1. Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
2. Screens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra-indications
3. Educates patient and family about pre, intra, and post procedure care
4. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examination of patient
5. Documents patient history and physical assessment for assigned patients
6. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved standards and regulations for care
7. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient
8. Monitors and records patient conditions including vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient
9. Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents
10. Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
11. Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or clinic policy including patient and family instruction
(15%) Department Support
1. Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities
2. Assists in establishing, evaluating and updating patient care standards
3. Maintains and documents maintenance of patient monitoring, laboratory testing equipment, and procedural medications.

Required:
1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Associate degree in Nursing
3. RegisteredNurse with current appropriate state license, current and in good standing
4. Two (2) years' experience working in a hospital or clinic
5. Experienced and skilled in starting patient IVs
6. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
7. Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support)
8. Current Tuberculosis (TB) test
