Employment Type:Full time Shift:Day ShiftDescription: $7500 Sign On Bonus for External Applicants Pay Range: $33.10 - $52.95hr Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location. Position Purpose Following established policies and procedures, performs and records ultrasound diagnostic tests of patients' pelvic, abdominal and arterial and vascular areas. What you will do Obtains information about internal organs, fluid accumulations, blood flow, masses or development of fetuses for use in diagnosis of disease, study of malfunction of organs, prenatal examination of fetuses and placenta. Ensures ultrasound tests are of high quality and records results. Assists physicians in carrying out examinations, consultations, sterile procedures. Performs general clerical duties such as report filing and distribution, answering telephones, taking and relaying messages, photocopying materials. Minimum Qualifications Education: Work requires the level of knowledge acquired through completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program. Associate's degree preferred plus three (3) months or less of on-the-job training and orientation. Licensure: ARDMS Registered Abd/Pelvis preferred. May be required to become registered in multiple modalities. Certification: Registry eligible required. ARDMS Registered within one year of hire. Will be required to become registered in one (1) modality within three (3) years of hire. May be required to become registered in multiple modalities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (90%) Sonography Imaging * Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure * Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged * Performs routine and advanced Sonography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure * Adjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed * Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) * Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitizing equipment, to promote good safety habits for patients and team members * Maintains the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirements (5%) Sonography Department Support * Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades * Monitor medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary * Assist with the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable (5%) Other Duties as Assigned * Completes other tasks and projects as assigned Required: * High school diploma, or equivalent * Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited sonography program, or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) * Registered American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) sonographer, current and in good standing * Sonography certification in imaging specialty (AB, BR, ObGyn, etc.) * Licensed Sonographer in the appropriate state (if applicable) * Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification * Must have sufficient training and experience to perform sonography procedures independently Preferred: * Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) * OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens * Bilingual RAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
