Position Summary
The Center is hiring a Loan Processor to join a team dedicated to helping middle- and working-class homeowners sustain affordable homeownership repair loans, forgivable loans, and grants throughout the State of New York. The candidate we are seeking to fill this position will play an integral role in assisting the loan origination team, customer interaction from origination to closing, and loan packaging to support the underwriting team. In addition, the ideal candidate will be driven to support the mission of helping homeowners successfully navigate through a broad range of homeownership affordability issues, including but not limited to foreclosure prevention, scam prevention, coastal recovery, and resiliency.
This is a full-time, exempt position. This is a hybrid role intended for candidates within commuting distance from our office and requires 3 days on-site, in the office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Evaluate and assess residential mortgage loan applications as assigned.
Perform a preliminary review of each application for program eligibility, compliance, and completeness.
Maintain contact and support between the Loan Originator and all other Center departments throughout the processing of the loan, which may include Underwriting, Closing, and Finance. Outreach to homeowners, advocates, and legal counsel.
Accurately organize all file documentation to comply with industry standards.
Prepare and submit completed loan files to the underwriting team.
Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders and applicants.
Update loan milestone tracking on time.
Other duties supporting loan origination and loan processing as assigned.

Position Summary
The Family Advocate is responsible for contributing to the day‑to‑day operation of the FEC including building connections with other staff, residents, and community partners; co‑designing and delivering relevant programming and activities (offerings); providing advocacy and making referrals for participants; and creating a warm and inviting gathering place for families and individuals using the protective factors model to support community resilience.

The Center is hiring a Senior Mortgage Closing Manager, SPM to join a team dedicated to helping middle and working-class homeowners sustain affordable homeownership throughout the State of New York. The candidate we are seeking to fill this position will play an integral role in managing servicing staff, tracking loan performance, ensuring that payments and disbursements are processed correctly, and managing the compliance and QC audits of the recently closed pipeline. Coaching Communications Manager on engaging with and pitching to philanthropic media
Outlets such as Chronicle of Philanthropy, Inside Philanthropy, Impact Alpha, and Philanthropy New York
Collaboration on messaging strategy through social media, newsletters, and network organizing
External priorities for pitches and messaging include trust-based philanthropic practices, funding grassroots organizing, the New York City and State funding landscape, catalytic investment opportunities, co-filing shareholder proposals, and establishing a strategic reserve fund
Project: Messaging Guide
With guidance and feedback from the Communications Manager, develop a comprehensive staff tool encompassing messaging priorities, tone, and guidance for each area of the foundation's work
Include “elevator pitches” for each work area
Match the current tone, approach, and personality of the foundation
Facilitate a staff-wide training on using the guide
Other Projects as necessary
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Preferred skills and experience include:
5 years minimum experience in a philanthropic or nonprofit communications role
Collaborating with team members through support and peer exchange of learning and ideas
Engaging philanthropic audiences on multiple platforms, including newsletters, LinkedIn, news publications, and virtual and real-time presentation
Pitching to media outlets, initiating and maintaining relationships with journalists
Familiarity with mission-aligned investment and shareholder engagement
Drafting internal communications guidance and policies, for example messaging guides, AI policies, and document retention policies
Researching
Ability to problem-solve, plan, and prioritize tasks
Ability to combine assisting and skill-sharing during projects
Strong written and oral communication skills

COMPENSATION
This position will be contracted. The compensation range is $20,000 to $30,000 depending on experience, for an estimate of 100 hours of work to be completed in 2026.

The Early Intervention Evaluation Department is actively seeking qualified Occupational Therapists to conduct evaluations. Ideal candidates will:

Essential Functions
Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations using current, standardized tools.
Contact parents within 48 hours of referral to schedule evaluations; therapists create and manage their own schedules.

Communicate effectively with parents and teachers, addressing concerns and gathering insights on the child's functioning.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Competencies

Work Environment
This position operates in a child's home, daycare, preschool or Head Start wherever the child is attending and therapist schedules the evaluation at the appropriate setting. Occupational Therapists need to understand and be sensitive to the various cultural differences and diversities exhibited within New York City. The parents must be informed as to where the evaluation is being conducted for their child.

The Coordinator of Recreation and Self-Advocacy is responsible for planning, organizing, and participating in special activities and trips for individuals with developmental disabilities. Works with SPDD Administration, Unit Administrators, Residence Manager, etc. in establishing links with community based recreational facilities and with other providers of recreational activities and self-advocacy groups. Also responsible for developing recreation and self-advocacy programs at Abbott House.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, organizes, and participates in special activities and trips for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Development of recreation and self-advocacy programs at Abbott House.
Attends treatment team meetings as it relates to an individual's participation in recreation and/or self-advocacy activities.
Provides direct supervision of individuals and staff during recreation and/or self-advocacy activities and events.
In conjunction with the treatment team, assesses an individual's ability to participate in recreation and/or self-advocacy activities and what level of supervision is required.
Ensures that the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals is always maintained and at the highest level. Assures compliance with all OPWDD regulations.
Develops and maintains relationships with community entities who are providing recreation and/or self-advocacy opportunities for individuals.
Coordinates recreation and/or self-advocacy activities regarding staffing, supplies, transportation, expenses, and timecards.
Maintains regular and consistent contact with residential staff, families, and other professionals regarding any issues.
Participates in staff meetings as required.
Adheres to and monitors all regulatory requirements associated with recreation and/or self-advocacy activities.
All other duties as deemed appropriate by agency administration.
