The Title V Connection Coach as part of the Title V team plays a key role in successfully onboarding new students from the point of application and promoting a positive learning experience through their first year, in an effort to meet student retention, success and completion goals of the college. The Connection Coach provides registration assistance, support, advisement and connections to college resources, aimed at motivating and engaging new students in order for them to be successful. These student interactions take place both in person and online, with over 50% of the Student Success Center appointments occurring virtually. Connection Coaches must be comfortable utilizing various technological tools when conducting advising sessions, for case management and providing instructional technology support to students. The Connection Coaches are responsible for student retention and support and will seamlessly transition students to academic and/or career coaches at established milestones.

Register and Onboard cohort of students and coach them through the process of being a first-time student

Key Responsibilities
Architecture and Strategy
Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions leveraging Azure services, microservices, and modern web technologies.
Lead the design of complex solutions involving APIs and large-scale data environments across hybrid cloud platforms.
Translate business processes and requirements into scalable, secure, and reusable IT solutions.
Define and document solution architecture and maintain the architecture repository.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and reference models.
API and Data Platform Leadership
Architect and deliver features for the organization's API Layer and Digital Portals using React and Node.js.
Ensure solutions are cloud-native, API-first, and optimized for performance and scalability.
Provide architectural guidance on microservices, event-driven architecture, and data pipelines.
Collaboration and Enablement
Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Teams, and Agile Engineers to deliver high-value features.
Establish and lead a Community of Practice for architects and developers focused on Azure, APIs, and data.
Collaborate with Lead Architects to co-create architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
Governance and Quality
Organize solution design activities and ensure stakeholder alignment across domains.
Monitor implementation to ensure compliance with architectural standards.
Drive continuous improvements in architecture practices and standards.
Thought Leadership and Coaching
Act as a thought leader in API and application architecture, staying current with emerging technologies.
Coach and mentor developers and architects, encouraging continuous learning and architectural excellence.
Communicate effectively with senior management, translating technical concepts into business-focused language.
Qualifications
Required
Five or more years of experience in enterprise software architecture and solution design.
Three or more years of experience in Azure cloud architecture, including hybrid environments.
Strong understanding of API-first design, microservices, event-driven architecture, and service-oriented architecture.
Experience with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Delta Lake, Synapse Analytics, and big data tools.
Proficiency in React, Node.js, Python, Scala, SQL, or other cloud-native development languages.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred
TOGAF and ArchiMate certifications.
Azure Solutions Architect certification (AZ-305 or similar).
Experience in financial services, particularly commercial lending or leasing.
Familiarity with secure coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
Background in software development and project management methodologies.
