JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION In addition to working as a Managed Care Specialist, the Senior Specialist has the responsibility of coordinating the daily task within the Managed Care team assigned to lead. The Senior MCS provides weekly status update reports to the team and leadership. Also, this role will review accounts to resolve concerns with payer information that is not correctly entered. Assists with obtaining benefit information and sets up coverage information to ensure proper billing. Responsible for processing of denials due to no authorizations received and works to resolve. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Timely and accurate data entry. Maintain a collaborative relationship with Support Services team members and clinical staff. Timely and accurate completion of authorization, referrals or payer information for set up the financial chart. Compliance with annual completion of Relias training as required. Coordinating the daily task within the Managed Care team assigned to lead. The Senior MCS will also facilitate a daily team meeting to check in with the team members to review task assignment obtain project status updates as well as answer questions, concerns or view workflow processes. Creates and reports weekly status updates to the progress of the team work load and assignments. The Managed Care Specialist is responsible for reviewing the daily reports which pertain to the Managed Care team assigned. These reports include authorizations, service package assignments, referral information or updating payer information. The MCS works to set up the financial chart and reviews payer information in order to bill for services. The MCS will review accounts to resolve concerns with payer information that is not correctly entered. This can include review of future scheduled appointments with lapsing authorizations. Must maintain a working knowledge of payer requirements for proper scheduling and authorizations. The MCS is Responsible for reviewing daily service activity failures with regard to authorizations. Also includes billing failures for coverage issues. Assists with obtaining benefit information and sets up coverage information to ensure proper billing. Responsible for processing of denials due to no authorizations received and works to resolve. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS Education Level High School Diploma or GED required. Years of Experience Three to five years administrative experience preferred. JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION The Certified Peer Crisis Specialist is someone who has verification of certification from the state and self-identifies as a voice of recovery with lived mental health and/or addiction experience and or qualifies as an individual who has supported an immediate family member through recovery. Expected to deploy with team to persons in the community who is experiencing a mental health and/or an addiction crisis. Assists clients with support and de-escalation during time of crisis; assisting clients with articulating personal goals for recovery from mental health and/or addiction crisis; assisting participants in determining reasonable and holistic steps in recovery; and identifying barriers to recovery goals. Assist individuals in identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills. In addition, will teach participants problem solving skills, how to identify and combat negative self-talk, how to build social supports, and how to self-advocate, intervenes, coordinates and provide connection to care as directed by the clinical team. Completes screens/assessments and evidence protocols as trained and supported through Centerstone. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Deploys to an individual in their community when experiencing a mental health and/or substance use crisis. Verbalize understanding of what recovery means and articulate it to others. Assist clients with identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills. Assist staff in identifying program elements that are supportive or barriers to recovery. Facilitate evidence-based protocols, safety plans, complete screens and risk assessments as trained. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to partner with Centerstone programs and community partners. Coordinate and assist with crisis intervention/ connection to care. Coordinate referrals to inpatient, residential behavioral health/mental health/substance treatment. Transport clients to appointments and to access resources. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to meet communication requirements of certification. Basic computer literacy is required. QUALIFICATIONS Education Level Must be 18 years of age or older, have lived experience receiving mental health and/or addictions treatment and in recovery to meet State Requirements. High school diploma or equivalent. Years of Experience Minimum of one year of recovery. Experience within the criminal justice system preferred. Required Certification/Licensure Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. State Certification is required.
