JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION Responsible for cleaning patient rooms, nursing units, administrative offices, waiting areas and public restrooms, as well as launder all hospital linen. Using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, housekeepers wipe equipment, clean furniture, mop floors and vacuum carpets. This position is responsible for making beds, emptying trash and restocking medical supplies. Housekeepers may also collect dirty linen from client areas and distribute the clean linen back to the appropriate floors. Using cleaning supplies and equipment are an essential part of the position, which is why housekeepers take a daily inventory as well as inspect their equipment for cleanliness and necessary repairs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Empties garbage, disinfects all clients areas. Sanitizes furniture, beds, laundry equipment. Cleans and vacuums designated resident/patient and administrative areas. Provides clean bedding to resident/patient areas as needed or requested. Reports unusual conditions such as insect infestation, unsafe conditions, or needed repairs to supervisor. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods. QUALIFICATIONS Education Level Minimum of completed 10th grade education required. Years of Experience Institutional housekeeping experience preferred. Essential Functions/Job Duties: Performs Nursing Assessments and monitoring of Adults/Adolescents Obtains and enters orders into EMR from attending physician. Administers medications and treatments efficient and effectively as prescribed by a physician. Evaluates clients/patients nursing needs; develops and maintains Treatment Plan. Provides guidance to Behavioral Health Technicians in their administering to the nursing needs of clients/patients. JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION The Parenting Partner/Mentor provides active, hands-on peer support to a caseload of parent/caregivers of children and youth receiving services in three counties (Manatee, Sarasota, and Desoto). Parenting partner/Mentor support may be delivered in individual or group settings at the agency, in family homes, or in community environments. The role of the Parenting Partner/Mentor is to provide peer support but also to work collaboratively to support systems change by increasing family involvement and decreasing unintentional, bias about parents. Provides guidance based on a combination of evidence-based/evidence-informed training and personal firsthand experience and lived expertise. Empowering and coaching parents through the process with DCF, child Welfare, the courts, and other family centered community partners is an important aspect of this work. Work with and model for the entire family a positive, sensitive, non-judgmental manner of relating.
