Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) is an award winning health system comprised of 4 hospitals; services include level 1 trauma, dedicated children’s hospital, nationally accredited rehabilitation and stroke centers, comprehensive cancer center, and one of the highest volume heart programs in the US. They are the only health system in WV to win Healthgrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence three years in a row, 2014, 2015, and 2016. CAMC is the recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige award, and they are currently pursuing their ISO 9000 certification.

In 2016 the organization implemented Cerner’s clinically driven revenue cycle; they converted from Soarian Clinicals, Siemens Invision and NextGen to Cerner’s suite of products (over 70 modules) with Cerner’s Model implementation.

Holly Trent is a Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Centra Health and is based in Lynchburg, Virginia. Rick Grooms is a Chief People Officer at Centra Health and is based in Columbia, South Carolina. He has worked as Chief Human Resources Officer at ANMED HEALTH; Chief Operating Officer at Pain Specialists Of Charleston; and Squadron Commander at U.S. Air Force - Sheppard, AFB, Wichita Falls, TX. Rick studied at Citadel between 1981 and 1985, Midwestern State University between 1986 and 1988, and Wando High School between 1977 and 1981.
