Load/unload truck shipments. Warehouse received material and finished product in proper location. Support other departments to retrieve and replace inaccessible stock as needed. Key Deliverables Correctly pulled/boxed/prepared customer orders Work environment cleanliness, and organization No safety incidents or accidents Well maintained packaging and shipping supplies Key Accountability Metrics Satisfactory ISO and QC audits Monthly Customer Complaint Report Performance appraisals Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions 20% Pick and Pack Customer Orders Picks orders which are to be delivered by commercial trucker based on customer order and completes required documentation. Prepares pulled orders and places in holding area for truck pick up. 40% Load/Unload Shipments - Warehouse Material and Product Loads and unloads truck shipments received through Distribution. Follows proper procedure to handle deliveries in order to facilitate entry into Harris inventory system. Warehouses received materials and finished product in proper Manufacturing or Distribution areas, recording location on appropriate documentation. 20%Other Departments Support Aids other departments by pulling and replacing inaccessible stock using forklift. 5% Follow Safety Regulations Works safely and supports safety within their team across the organization - as required. Participates in safety training and demonstrates a high regard for safety at all times. Wears PPE as required by safety regulations. 5% Maintain Quality Maintains quality by verifying that pulled product, packaged or not, meets Deliveries requirements and work procedures. 5% Complete Documentation Completes the following forms/reports as required by department procedures: • Deliveries • Returned Goods Authorization • Daily 5S Check Sheet • Daily Forklift Inspection • Packaging/Shipping Supplies Checklist • Packing List on incoming shipments 5% Support Department and Company Initiatives Works on cost saving projects, Six Sigma projects, and provides support for other team members and projects. Attends team meetings. Utilizes lean tools and techniques such as 5S and visual factory concepts in maintaining order and cleanliness. Performs additional tasks to support production as needed or directed by supervisor or management. Education and/or Experience Required - 2 or more years of related work experience and High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred - Experience related to distribution; some computer knowledge; forklift license. Responsibilities Responsible for pulling orders based on pick ticket to accurately build orders for loading onto delivery trucks. Build orders according to assigned load tickets using industrial power equipment. Manually lift and move product to restock and repack ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation. Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards. Responsible for meeting productivity requirements. Stage completed pallets in designated areas. Follow established company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality procedures and policies. Actively participate in Hazard Mitigation. Complete assigned Health & Safety trainings. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Minimum 6 months of general work experience. Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred. Prior warehouse experience preferred. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs. Daily Activities Repetitively lift, carry, and position product (weighing up to 50 lbs.) above shoulder height without assistance. Consistent kneeling, squatting, and reaching above the head. Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck, etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance. Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Ability to read information in small, medium, and large print. Ability to stand and walk for long periods. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for tasks in relation to picking customer orders utilizing RF scanner to select, clean, pack and palletize food and accessory pet products. SHIFT DETAILS Evening Shift: Monday thru Friday, 5:00pm - 1:30am STARTING WAGES Evening Shift: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, plus shift premium * Incentive pay up to $200 per week based on productivity & attendance* KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Inspect merchandise to ensure only quality product is used to complete the order. * Meet production, quality, and accuracy levels as established by business unit. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment. * Select food and/or accessory products to fill customer orders completely and accurately. * Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, as required by operational needs. * Flexibility to work in other areas and departments, as needed. Must be able to cross train in other departmental areas. * Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents. Follow all food safety policies and procedures including performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments and related activities as directed. * Promote a safe work environment by following facility and company safety guidelines. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. * Safely operate and become certified in use of electric pallet jack, walk-rider, and/or other required equipment. QUALIFICATIONS * 1 or more years related warehouse experience, preferred. * Voice picking (Vocollect)/RF scanner experience, preferred. * Ability to count and perform basic math. * Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, and able to stand and walk for long periods of time. * Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. WORKING CONDITIONS * The warehouse is a non-climate-controlled facility. The outside temperature generally reflects the inside temperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust. * Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes).
