The C.N.A. is responsible for the provision of hands-on care and services to meet identified resident needs. If no shifts are available during the scheduling period, staff may be contacted for unplanned or last-minute openings. In cases where no shifts are available during the 90-day period, the hour requirement may be waived. However, if shifts are offered and declined, the 48-hour requirement remains in effect. Failure to meet this requirement may result in a 30-day notice of intent to terminate employment due to non-availability.
