GENERAL SUMMARY

The Central Scheduler is responsible for gathering all demographic and insurance information at the time of the scheduled appointment. This includes accurate test selection, coordinating the patient needs with Financial Counselors, Insurance Verifiers, and referring clinics, patient preps for exams and pre-registration for the visit. To function as each telephone caller's agent in resolving issues and completing requests for information, confidential clinical data, and hospital services.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

+ High School graduate or GED.

+ Compliant with PPD requirements.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

+ Preferably two (2) years of typing; some computer experience desired. Minimum 2 years in a healthcare related field.

+ The minimum hourly wage for this position is $17.50 per hour; final salary will be determined by experience and credentials.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

+ To provide patients and physician offices/clinics with information and assistance needed for accessing and utilizing Outpatient Services at Sinai Chicago.
