Responsibilities
The Central Sterile Supervisor is accountable for the direct supervision and coordination of unit operations. Provides leadership and promotes team building amongst the staff. Supports and models the Preferred Employee Profile. Performs duties in clinical capacity as needed. Supervisor will identify opportunities for standardization and cost containment/reduction. Responsible for identifying physician practice patterns, supply and equipment utilization and staff utilization. Monitors significant departmental trends that can shift/affect the business unit.
Qualifications
Education:
Central Sterile Certification required within 1 year of hire
Prefer Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years clinical experience required, to include at least two years progressively more responsible health care experience. Experience with continuous quality improvement, outcomes management, customer satisfaction and regulatory standards for Central Sterile processing
Prefer knowledge of available data systems within Legacy Health System, particularly those specific to assigned Central Sterile Department
