    Job Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Embalmer to join our fast-paced mortuary service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing embalming and restorative art; This role requires attention to detail, respect for the deceased, and adherence to all health and safety regulations. Compensation: $20 - $28 hourly Responsibilities: Perform embalming, disinfecting, and preservation procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations. Apply restorative art techniques as needed. Maintain accurate records of all embalming procedures, chemicals, and case details. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local health department regulations. Handle decedents with dignity and respect throughout the preparation process. Monitor and maintain embalming equipment, tools, and chemicals. Support mortuary operations by handling removals and transfers as needed. Communicate with funeral directors regarding special requests or restoration needs. Adhere to proper infection control and biohazard safety protocols. Qualifications: Valid Embalmer's License in the State of Texas. Completion of an accredited Mortuary Science program. Embalming experience (preferred, but recent graduates will be considered). Knowledge of embalming chemistry, anatomy, and restorative art. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle delicate situations with care. Physical ability to lift and move decedents as required.
