This role leads in training of new cashiers and sales floor staff. Ensures all cashiers are greeting customers as they arrive and depart. Ensures cashiers are providing customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service at point of sales counter. Ensure cashiers are thanking customers for their purchase. Responsible for processing customer sales and returns, ensures accurate change, and balances cash drawer. Trouble shoots and provides solutions to impress customers. Responsible for facility banking including deposits are done daily and taken to the bank and proper change is on site at all times. Works with Operations and Store supervisor to ensure aisles are ready for daily zero scan. Understands and is fully capable of properly using all necessary test equipment and special service tools, pertaining to diagnoses and repair of appropriately assigned jobs. Manages repair strategy and vehicle downtime to effectively return downed equipment to productive service as soon as possible. Communicates findings, observations, and conclusions, to take adequate responsibility for their time investment on the job assignment and ensure stability. Takes adequate responsibility for time invested in job assignment and ensures salability. Performs all repairs within established standard repair times (SRTs). Aids the advisor in meeting deadlines and delivery of all promises made regarding assigned jobs and targets. Advises advisor of any complication immediately. Notify manager if necessary. Remains continuously aware of assigned workload while managing production time and repair promises. Ensures that repair order stories are kept up-to-date, accurate, and complete with concise descriptions, including cause of failure' and ‘work performed.' Returns all shop tools and equipment promptly to assigned storage locations in clean, orderly, and usable condition. Attends all required service tech training sessions and Service Department meetings. Assists in instructing trainees as ordered by the Service Manager Knows, understands, and adheres to Dealership and Service Department policies, procedures, and protocols. Diagnoses any cause of malfunction and performs repair. Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Road tests vehicles when required. Supervises work of any apprentice technicians or mentee technicians assigned. Keeps shop area neat and clean. Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Safeguards information system assets by identifying abnormalities, reporting suspicious activity and/or content, and contributing to the resolve of cyber security problems.
