The LEAD HR Business Partner is responsible for proactively supporting all aspects of strategic and tactical HR support. Develops and link key competencies to all HR functions and tools including job requirements, selection systems, development programs and evaluation tools. In conjunction with Talent Acquisition, partner on recruiting and attraction strategies, executing these plans in local areas.
Assist with retention strategies for key talent. Support the development of employees through the execution of succession planning and talent review.
Talent Management

About the Role / Platform:
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) on the Player Platform QA team, you will take part equally in software development and testing processes, focusing on the testability, robustness and performance of IP video playback experience.
Player Platform is an SDK written in various programming languages like Kotlin, Swift, Typescript, Bright script etc., that powers IP video playback experience on X1 platform set-top boxes and Xfinity Stream applications on Android, iOS, Web browsers and Roku platforms. Player platform provides a video player that integrates with our video streaming, content protection (DRM), advertisement, emergency alerts and real-time analytics services. As an SDET, you will be building automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process.
Who will you work with?
Player platform SDET's collaborate with software engineers, software architects and other video streaming technologists. Daily, you will be working on a small scrum team that consists of product owners, software engineers, SDET's and quality assurance engineers. You will be closely working with other teams internal and external to Comcast VIPER.
What are some interesting problems you'll be working on?
Player platform integrates into a high number of environments with a complex requirement surface area. Primary focus of the player platform team is to build flexible and reliable API's that provide the best user experience for our customers and generate multi-billion-dollar revenue for our advertising business. As an SDET, you will be working on building flexible and robust automation framework that validates all the player Api's being developed by the engineering team and to deliver a high-quality product to our customers that provide the best streaming experience.
Where can you make an impact?
You will be required to get acquainted with multiple platforms where Comcast Xfinity Stream, Sky Sports and other syndication partner applications are supported. You will need to be a subject matter expert for triaging issues that are reported by the customers and work with engineering teams to get a potential fix and certify the fix for deployment.
You will need to build automation scripts that does regression on the player releases and quickly release the changes to our customers.

Job Summary
FreeWheel is looking for a Principal Engineer, Software Engineering to join our Freewheel Programmatic Demand team. This team owns a novel platform that FreeWheel has used to build several Demand Side Platform products such as FreeWheel DSP, FreeWheel Buyer Cloud, and most recently, Universal Ads. The Principal Engineer is responsible for defining the technical vision and architecture of the platform. Daily activities include working closely with external stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver core features with an emphasis on performance, scalability, maintainability, and stability that will bring joy to users of the platform.

* Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
* Designs and oversees new software and web applications, supports applications under development, and customizes current applications. Assists and oversees in the roll-out of software releases.
* Trains and mentors software engineers on internally developed software applications and software development best practices.
* Oversees the researching, writing, and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports.

* Assists in tracking; provides and evaluates performance metrics. Ensures team delivers software on time, to specification and within budget.
* Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Tests and evaluates systems, subsystems and components.
* Leads project planning, resourcing, requirement analyzing and defining, detailed designing and deployment of feature or system.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
* A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 15+ years of experience as a hands-on software engineer, with a deep focus on designing and building scalable, distributed systems. Experience in the media or advertising technology industry is a must-have.
* Proven expertise in technical architecture and system design, with the ability to break down complex problems and deliver elegant, maintainable solutions.
* Demonstrated ability to own and manage technical backlogs, collaborating with product and engineering peers to prioritize work, define technical requirements, and drive execution.
* Advanced proficiency in object-oriented and systems programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or Go with a strong understanding of concurrency, performance tuning, and distributed computing.
* Experience deploying and operating applications in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), with a solid grasp of cloud-native development patterns and infrastructure-as-code.
* Comfortable using engineering productivity tools such as Jira (for backlog and sprint planning), Confluence (for technical documentation), Git (for version control), and Microsoft Office Suite (for communication and reporting).
