In 1962, the agency changed its name to the Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Network.
In 1964, seeking to coordinate its efforts with similar organizations around the state and nation, the agency became an affiliate of United Cerebral Palsy and changed its name to United Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey.
In 1976, the agency established Horizon School in East Orange, New Jersey to serve students with multiple disabilities.
In 1992, with the agency increasingly serving individuals with a wide array of disabilities, the agency disaffiliated from UCP and changed its name to Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey.
The new site led to a rapid growth in enrollment and the agency opened Horizon High School in 2005.
In 2019, the agency was serving individuals with more than 100 different disabilities and felt the organization’s name was no longer reflective of its work.
In 2019, the agency rebranded as Pillar Care Continuum and the schools rebranded as Pillar Elementary School and Pillar High School.
