Mr. Thompson joined Neurana Pharmaceuticals as President & Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the board of directors in June 2018. Prior to Neurana, Mr. Thompson was President & Chief Executive Officer of Anthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. His previous biotech experience includes Chief Operating Officer for Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Chief Commercial Officer for Trius Therapeutics, Inc. where he was involved in the $700M+ acquisition of Trius Therapeutics, Inc. by Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc., as well as a partnership with Bayer Pharma AG. Prior to Trius Therapeutics Inc., Mr. Thompson served in various global and U.S. roles at Pfizer Inc., including Therapeutic Group Leader of Allergy, Respiratory, Pulmonary Vascular Disease and Inflammation; and ultimately served as Vice President of Marketing for Pfizer’s Specialty Care Business Unit. Previous to Pfizer Inc., Mr. Thompson served in positions of increasing responsibility at Merck & Co., Inc., including leading the partnership with Schering Plough.

Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from McMaster University and an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Mark has over 25 years of experience in academia, biotech and the pharmaceutical industry. He was a co-founder of Paradigm Therapeutics and most recently served as President and CSO of Takeda Pharmaceutical's Cambridge UK site.

Nathaniel Heintz is a Chief Scientific Advisor at Cerevance. He works or has worked at The Rockefeller University.

Rob previously served as CFO of Envoy Therapeutics and as Chief Corporate Development Officer of Perlegen Sciences. Earlier, Rob held a number of senior leadership roles with Fidelity Investments including Chief Investment Officer of the $28 billion Managed Income Group and Head Trader of the $26 billion Municipal Money Market Group.

Carrie Cook is a Chief Business Officer at Cerevance and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. She has worked as Director, Global Business Development at Healthcare Business of Merck; Project Manager, Corporate M&A at Merck KGaA.; and Senior Vice President/Global Head of Business Development at CANbridge Pharmaceuticals Inc.. Carrie studied at INSEAD between 2005 and 2006 and Duke University between 1994 and 1998.
