Very strong management and direction for their employees.
Too stressful sometimes.
Good matching 401k and benefits and decent starting pay.
I love the Applications that I worked for. They were mainly for hospitals. And the work culture was very cool.
Some weekends we working ones. but thats okay, just that there is no major negative to be mentioned,. I am stating this one.
My desk. which might not be a perk anymore due to COVID
Great Benefits
If you have a job in customer support, the company simply does not care about you in any capacity
Internal Health Care Opportunities
The people were dedicated to creating a better healthcare world
Too much travel
Campus was modern
I loved the team I was on.
Very little upward movement, and not paid enough.
Ability to take PTO.
I enjoy the large variety of positions within Cerner that promote a competitive work environment with room for growth
The management can be inconsistent with what they say they value and what they actually force onto their associates. The numbers matter more at the end of the day regardless of the culture they say they value. This leads to unrealistic expectations and pressures to perform
Free gym is a plus
Opportunities to grow and challenging projects.
Work life balance.
Gym availability
Flexibility is nice. Culture is very young.
Hours worked can be difficult at times and expectations are very high. Being it's such a large company some of the people you work with don't have the same motivations or drive.
Travel perks that come along with the job.
Cerner truly cares about you as an employee. It's a great, creative and collaborative work environment. It's truly a great place to work.
Depending on your role, you may travel or work odd hours, so that can be a lot but there's also reward with this. Such as crucial on-site experience and also, building up gold status for hotels, rental cars and flights :).
On-site fitness center along with daily fitness classes for free. Also, your primary care doctor, pharmacy, therapist and healthe coach are all in house and about 1,000 feet from your desk.
Cerner offers many different opportunities. There are a wide variety of different technologies to work with. If at first you do not find a good job fit, it is possible to move to another role that is more appropriate.
Hours can be a bit demanding depending on the role. Some roles are more demanding than others. Customers can also be a bit demanding at times. While these are things that are not the most fun at times, they are things I can easily work through.
One of my favorite perks would be the campus I work at. My campus is filled with game rooms and libraries. We also have a maker space which is a lot of fun. This campus is conducive to creativity.
