We are seeking Part-Time Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) to support international and domestic line maintenance operations at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). AMTs are responsible for ensuring aircraft are safe, airworthy, and cleared for on-time departures through inspections and pre-flight servicing.
Shift Coverage:
Coverage is needed 7 days a week, 24/7
Technicians may be required to report earlier than scheduled for early arrivals and remain beyond shift hours to resolve mechanical delays
Responsibilities include:
Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical discrepancies
Service systems including hydraulics, oxygen, oil, and tires
Accurately complete maintenance documentation and logbooks
Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, customer policies, and internal safety standards
Communicate effectively with maintenance control and station leadership
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, and in active ramp environments with aircraft noise and operational fumes
Maintain professionalism and a safety-first mindset at all times
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (Required) - must be current, valid, and with no history of infractions
Aircraft maintenance experience required; line maintenance experience strongly preferred
Experience and/or training on at least two commercial aircraft types preferred (such as A319, A320, A321, B737, B767, B777, or E190)
Wide-body experience is beneficial but not required
Ability to obtain an airport badge
Ability to legally operate motorized vehicles on the airfield; valid driver's license required
Must be able to pass a TSA-compliant background screening, pre-employment drug screen, and physical
Customs clearance may be required based on flight coverage needs and will be determined by management
Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer literacy and ability to work with maintenance documentation systems
Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team-oriented environment as part of the CAS team
Availability for flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs
Must be able to report earlier than scheduled for early aircraft arrivals and stay past shift if mechanical delays occur
Willingness to work in outdoor environments with exposure to extreme weather, jet noise, and fumes from aircraft operations

Responsibilities
* Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all internal and external Customers

* Works in air freight facilities
* May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions and jet and machinery noise and fumes
* Responsible for opening/closing of the air freight facilities at which they are working
* Handles Station AMS and radio communications traffic as needed
* Checks Cargo information for each flight
* Answers Cargo facility telephones
* Resolve Customer situations by providing Positively Outrageous Service
* Writes and submits irregularity reports as required
* Checks cargo on hand to see that it is properly logged and accounted for
* Checks that all board mail and Company material is dispatched and sent to indicated Stations
* Responsibilities include greeting and handling Customers in a polite and friendly manner
* Re-manifest cargo due to weight restrictions, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged shipments
* Conducts Federally Mandated screening of all cargo shipments according to the Southwest Airlines TSA approved security program
* Handles cash, checks, credit cards, and coupons as forms of payment for shipments. Computes charges, makes change and balances daily transactions.
* Handles any aspect of processing a cargo shipment by operating a computerized point-of-sale system; resolving related complaints and problems
* Properly maintains and wears the uniform by Company regulations and presents a neat and professional appearance while on duty
* Provides friendly service to all co-workers and Customers. Performs special task or assignments as delegated by Supervisor or Station Management personnel

* Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license
* May be required by Station Leadership to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all requirements to work international flights
Physical Abilities
* Must be able to lift and move items of 70 pounds and/or more
* Must be able to climb, bend, kneel and stand on a frequent basis and for extended periods
* Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
* Must be able to distinguish each color displayed on every type of screening equipment
