Responsibilities
Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system.
Perform active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and saturations. Anticipate changes during cases that indicate necessary information, such as catheter position. Accurately identify and communicate patient condition changes to the physician and team.
Routinely perform patient testing and/or monitoring to include oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, hemodynamic calculations and other intra-procedure testing and resulting as applicable.
Demonstrate knowledge and variation of procedures, including the equipment/supplies used for performance. Demonstrate proper handling, preparation, and maintain asepsis.
Anticipate and adapt to physician and case needs.
Assist with room setup, patient transport and post-procedure clean-up. Ensure infection control and sharp safety procedures are followed regarding waste and reusable products.
Perform patient education regarding post-procedure monitoring and care of catheter insertion site. Provide instructions and information regarding activity including normal, variant and issues requiring intervention.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

Interpret, describe and report test results; recognize recording errors and artifacts and react appropriately.

Job Summary
Under general supervision, this position performs routine laboratory testing and related activities in support of Quality Control operations. The role requires adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements while supporting analytical testing, documentation, and laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine laboratory procedures and analytical testing in a regulated QC environment

Skillfully uses various radiological equipment to perform special procedures including cine radiography, angiography, radiotherapy, and the like consistent with department procedures and professional practice.
Prepares patients for examination and assist in the examination
Inspects and maintains equipment to assure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area, make exposures, and assists physician during fluoro exam.

Essential Functions:
Tissue Processing:
Process tissue samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements, ensuring the highest quality of product.
Follow aseptic techniques and maintain a contamination-free environment during all processing activities.
Document all tissue processing activities accurately and consistently for traceability and regulatory compliance.
Equipment and Environment Management:
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the laboratory and cleanroom environment, ensuring all areas are organized, sterile, and equipped for processing tasks.
Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment according to established schedules, ensuring proper function and minimizing downtime.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Monitor and assess tissue quality during processing to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Contribute to maintaining a high level of laboratory compliance with regulatory guidelines, including FDA and other relevant health and safety standards.
Health and Safety:
Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining aseptic conditions in the lab environment.
Participate in routine safety training and contribute to maintaining a culture of safety.
Collaboration and Team Support:
Work closely with other technicians, lab management, and team members to ensure efficient processing and timely completion of tasks.

SUMMARY OF JOB:
Operates/monitors all types of Cath Lab equipment under the supervision of the Cath Lab physician and/or Clinical Unit Coordinator.
Assists the physician and nursing personnel during Diagnostic & Interventional catheterization procedures.
Provides various types of patient care in the Cardiovascular Lab under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

ARRT or CVT/RCIS Certification preferred.
6 months of Diagnostic Radiology or Interventional Radiology/Catheterization procedure experience. Will consider graduates of CVT programs with extensive clinical rotations.
Successful completion of basic EKG Arrhythmia course or equivalent training & experience.
Current BLS certification. ACLS certification preferred.
Ability to work various shifts and/or on-call hours when required.
LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Current Pennsylvania AART or CVT/RCIS registration preferred.
CPR and ACLS certifications

Summary
Provides direct and indirect patient care including assisting the physician in diagnostic and/or invasive cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, and peripheral procedures. Provides cross campus coverage as needed. Cross trains for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and the Invasive Cardiology Holding and Recovery Area to meet department and patient needs.
Job Duties
Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment. Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping of the patient. Maintains medical/surgical asepsis.
Performs hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring during routine and complex cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures; assesses changes and appropriately treats.
Observes behavioral and physiologic changes due to medications; documents and takes appropriate actions.
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to scrub, monitor, and circulate for all diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, peripheral, or structural heart procedures. Assists and anticipates the needs of the physician.
Demonstrates effective arterial and venous sheath removal skills, including proper use of mechanical closure devices and manual compression.
Utilizes standard work to maintain efficiency. Promotes cost-effective care through maintaining and monitoring appropriate use of inventory and par levels.
Knows the location, operation, and care of equipment. Problem solves, trouble shoots, and takes corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment.

Specialized Diploma from an accredited school of cardiovascular science or
Specialized Diploma from an accredited school of radiation technology with cardiovascular experience.
