Minimum Requirements:
Prefer one year experience as a certifiednursingassistant within the last three years
Graduate from certifiednursingassistant program with subsequent documentation as a certifiednursingassistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and in good-standing
Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age

We are currently recruiting for a CNA to reliably serve patients on a per visit basis in the following counties Baltimore, Howard, and Anne Arundel Counties in BAYADA's Assistive Care Division.
What you'll do:
Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you'll provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home. As a BAYADA CNA, you'll have the opportunity to develop close relationships with your clients while you help them with:
Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc.
Meal preparation and feeding
Range of motion/exercises
Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
Medication reminders
Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
