Graduate of CNA long-term care certified training program. State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements: Current CT CNA registration. Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements: General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Other programs as mandated by Ingraham Manor and Ingraham Adult Day Center. Special Requirements: Must demonstrate patience and kindness toward clients and families. Must enjoy working with geriatric population. Must possess good observation and communication skills. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform all aspects of nursing care. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to endure prolonged periods of extended walking, standing and stooping. Moderate periods of sitting, reaching and bending. Occasional crouching, kneeling and balancing. Vision, hearing, smell and tactile sensation corrected or accommodated to normal. Work Environment: Regular contact with clients, families, body substances, and hazardous chemicals. State regulated temperature of 75 degrees; varied lighting; moderate noise. Use of various types of lifting devices. Cognitive Requirements: Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
