The Certified Medical Assistant's ( CMA ) duties and responsibilities consist of providing administrative assistant skills and clinical duties. This position is an essential member of the health team and works closely with the health providers to provide comprehensive health assessments (assessment of vitals and common symptoms/concerns seen in a student health center) within the guidelines of departmental and university rules, State of Maryland codes, and established protocols.
