Assist with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, bathing/showering, eating, etc.
Assist with personal and household chores, such as tidying up room, errands, delivering mail and/or newspapers.
Transport residents within the community to meals, enrichment activities, and other programs as needed.
Ensure resident care plans are reviewed and followed consistently.

This full-time MedicalAssistant will cover clinics in Dermatology and Float Pool at Lurie, and will also require covering dermatology clinics at Uptown as needed. Hours for the position are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday -Friday.
General Summary:
The MedicalAssistant is responsible for daily clinical work in the outpatient/primary care setting in accordance with the Ambulatory MedicalAssistant Scope of Practice. Assists Physicians and other staff under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Nurse and/or Physician.
Essential Job Functions:
• Depending on location, performs phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed by delegating provider.
• Administers, including but not limited to, intramuscular injections, subcutaneous injections, intradermal skin testing, topical medications, ophthalmic drops and nasal spray.
• Depending on location, performs ECGs, places Holter monitors and downloads telemetry data.
• Works in conjunction with other staff to maximize clinic flow.
• Intervenes appropriately in emergency situations.
• Documents data and changes in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Provides assistance and or back up support for administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling patient visits and performing basic "check-in, check out" activities.
• Obtains measurements, patient history and other intake activities.
• Stocks and maintains the clinic area including ordering of supplies as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of pertinent aspects and competency with protocols related to the use of chemical disinfection, high level disinfection, and sterilization if required as part of the responsibilities of the role.
• Depending on location, directs High Level Disinfection scope cleaning in accordance with defined HLD processes.
• Completes trainings and education including but not limited to Healthcare Provider CPR.
• Other job functions as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• High school diploma required.
• Successful completion of a formal MedicalAssistant program.
• Possesses 0 - 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
• CertifiedMedicalAssistant (CMA) (AAMA) or Registered MedicalAssistant (RMA) preferred but not required.
• Some college, preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication/listening skills. Substantial interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with pediatric patients, families, physicians, nursing and other allied health and medical center personnel.

Assisting the Director of Nursing Services in the planning, organizing developing and directing of the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and facility policies. QUALIFICATIONS
Must have current certification as a CNA
Must possess current CPR Certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.

Under supervision of a clinical leader, meets with the CNA Ladies and Gentlemen of the nursing department, on a regularly scheduled basis to assistin identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of services.
Recruit and conducts preliminary interviews and make recommendations for hiring to the clinical leadership and Administrator. Final interviews and approval are completed by the clinical leadership or Administrator.
Provides assistance with orientation, coaching and mentoring to ensure the success of CNAs in the performance of their duties. Makes recommendations for counseling to the clinical leadership.
Provides feedback to clinical leadership regarding CNA daily and annual performance evaluation feedback.

Monitor absenteeism to ensure that an adequate number of nursing care personnel are on duty at all times. Report problem areas to the Director.
Assist and maintain general organization of nursing units.
Provide the Director of Nursing with information relative to the nursing needs of the customers and the nursing service department's ability to meet these needs.
Assist with arranging appointments and transportation as needed.
Assist support services in developing, implementing, and conducting in-service training programs that relate to the nursing services department.
