Is a 20 Bed private room medical/surgical Trauma-step down/Remote telemetry unit. We care for a diverse adult population that includes trauma, and/or medical-surgical/ remote telemetry patients. We are newly renovated with state-of-the-art equipment and have many resources including imbedded care management/social workers, and PT/OT. Additionally, vascular access team, lift team and transport teams, as well as, wound ostomy nurses support the functions of our unit. Our current delivery model is primary nursing through the use of RNs, LPNs, and Nursing Assistants. Bp5's staffing allows for 2 NA's to be scheduled per shift. When fully staffed, our NA's are responsible for providing care for 10 patients. All the staff on BP5t have a teaming mentality and actively support one another to care for all the patients assigned to our floor.

The staff and leadership team members are ready and experienced to help you guide your healthcare professional journey with opportunities for professional development and growth. Staff members have opportunity to participate in unit based shared governance councils/committees which includes a Unit Practice Council.
