How you will contribute:
* You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.

Primary Responsibilities
???? Support Daily Living Activities:
Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Help with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, changing bed linens, and keeping rooms tidy.
Ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs.
???? Build Meaningful Connections:
Engage residents in social activities and one-on-one interactions.
Foster a positive, respectful environment with residents, families, and team members.
Encourage participation in group activities to promote a sense of community.
???? Promote Safety & Mobility:
Help transport residents to appointments and events.
Safely assist with lifting, turning, and positioning residents.
???? Monitor & Communicate Changes:
Follow individualized care plans and provide updates as needed.
Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to supervisors.
Record vital signs and care details accurately in electronic health records.

✅What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a direct caregiving role preferred but not required.
Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 35 lbs.
Previous working knowledge of Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) system preferred.

Part-time Description
This position is a part-time role with the schedule being:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 3p-11:30p every other weekend

There are 17 Independent Living Villas, 77 Independent Living Apartments and 58 Assisted Living Apartments nestled in serene woods on over 17 acres just minutes away from Chelsea's downtown area, fifteen minutes from Ann Arbor and a short drive from Chelsea. Our Resident Care Associates assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs which enables the resident to maintain good personal hygiene, to carry out activities of daily living, to maintain good health and to participate in the activities of the community while always emphasizing the residents independence, safety, dignity, privacy, and respect. Actively execute both the Silver Maples & Departmental Mission Statements.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to operate motion equipment such as wheelchairs, hoyer lift.
Must be able to tolerate working with skin irritants and chemicals.
Must be able to work closely with residents and their families during difficult times, including illness; aging in place; and comfort care at the end stage of life.
Must be able to offer resident and family support in the event of death.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to read, write, and speak English, and possess good communication skills.
Must be willing to obtain a high school diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One- year nurse's aide experience preferred.
Willingness to take additional geriatric related training.
